What to do with it? The seal isn't the best, maybe able to fix that. But it does not work.
Guess, if I get the seal working properly, I can make that into a non-running wineador like the coolidor's.
Or scrape it?! :smiley20: :smiley21:

"Scrape it?":smiley5:
1. Throw it away.
2. Go buy a 120 quart cooler and some beads.
I have some cigars coming to me in a few weeks(damn cbid:smiley15:), But nothing that would fill or half way fill the cooler up for.
Why couldn't I use the fridge like a cooler until I get to the point of needed bigger?
You can y=use the wine fridge just like you would a cooler for cigars. People actually make fridgadors out of old refrigerators. Most people like to use working wine fridges due to temp control but a regular refrigerator would get too cold so they are used not plugged in.
If you can get the seal working with little expense, go for it. Don't throw too much money at it, since coolers are not that expensive.
That is what I was thinking. I cleaned my garage(to make room for my beer pong table I made, part of the 'man cave' redo) and while I was doing that, I started looking at the wine fridge. I just need a 1/4 inch or so spacer to hold the fridge door up and it seals great.
It was a 12 bottle holder, So should suit me for a few months.. I will keep my eyes open for deals on coolers in the mean time.
I like that you can look into the wine fridge; I think it'd be a nice addition in the man cave.
Are you planning on storing cigars and/or boxes on the racks? Are they removable? I might be tempted to remove the racks, since they're wavy, and put in some Spanish cedar shelves (with holes/slits if necessary for airflow).
Racks are removable. I was going to store boxes.. Lose sticks in boxes as well.
I do not want to buy cedar yet.
Only problem is in the summer the garage gets really warm and in the winter it gets cold. That is why I am debating on buying a wine fridge or sticking with a cooler.

With summer coming up, I will keep my eye open for a cooler. Walmart had a 120 or 150 quart for 80 bucks.. Had slots to do shelving if needed
Start looking at 48 quart ones they hold plenty of cigars and fit in out of the way places.
If you ask me the 120 quart ones are to damn big and get in the way no mater where you put them. but thats only my opinion you may have room in your house for a large one but i don't.
That was on my list to do. Research what size is good.. I haven't got to that point yet.
But thanks for the info

I've downsized from 120 QT coolers as well.
Storing cigars in such a place will ruin them.
As for coolers, the 48 qt size seems a favourite IIRC. Easy enough to add more coolers as needed, and then you don't have to open any one cooler as much. A 48 is about the largest that would still be okay without a fan, I suspect. My 70 qt's need at least one Oust fan to move the moisture around. If I did it again, I'd buy 48's.
I have a room that is attached to the garage which I was going to hook up the fridge. Stay's fairly cool down there. Most likely where the cooler would end up.
