So, how about that royal wedding? I thought it was very regal and spectacular.
Actually, I didn't watch it, nor was aware of it until about 2 days ago.

I'd rather kick myself in the bag than watch that.

I have had to listen to the wife talk about that crap for a week now.:smiley19:
:smiley36: I would've thought that would've been the case with mine...I groaned about it the other night and she went "huh"? She hadn't really heard alot about it either...I on the other hand, have to keep CNN and HLN on at work all day and they love to cover it. Looking forward to not having to see any more "news" on it. :smiley4:
Bad timing. My daughter is planning her wedding. I see top hat, tails and poverty in my future.
Doc.
He is going to be King of Canada someday; which implies some interest to Canadians as he has significant (but limited) power as Canada's Head of State.
For example, the upcoming federal election could result in a number of possible coalitions. The new government will need the Queen's approval. In the future, it could be this guy making the call.
Also, the couple are coming here now (officially, but that could be a deception).
So you see, the wedding is of interest to Canadians for more than just the clothes. :-)
It isn't like I'm going to smoke an 80th to celebrate the marriage. It was a nice bit of theatre, and it'll be good for U.K. tourism.
LOL
I'd rather kick you in the bag than watch too!
Luckily my wife feels the same way about the royal wedding as I do so I never had to put up with it.
However, on Thursday I dropped our Yorkie off at the groomers to have his ass shaved for summer. After work when I was picking him the groomer lady said, "Oh good, now I can go and sleep."
I looked at my watch, 4:45 pm, I said, "Huhn!?!?"
She gushed, "Oh I have to get up at 1 am (or some ridiculous time like that) so I can watch the royal wedding. " I said, "Why don't you record it?" to which she replied, "Oh I AM, but that's not like watching it live!"
I smiled and nodded and managed to get back in my car and get about 100 yards away before completely cracking up and scaring the pood dog half to death.
ROFLMAO
I was glad to see something nice being celebrated.
Looks like weddings in Britain are consummated a little differently!
