Every Don Pepin I tried has had burn issues. Anyone else having this problem? For an expensive cigar this shouldn't be. I also I'm not the crazy about the Blue Label. I don't get what all the hype is. I'm sure this just my ease but the uneven burn is a real drag. Opinions welcomed.

Ditto. DP Blue is one of my favorite cigars. All Don Pepin blends should be stored between 60% and 65% any higher and you're going to have the problems you're describing.

As Devil Doc says, the humidity will not only effect the burn, but in my experience it will also mess with the flavor.
Try a few more of the same cigar with a lower humidity and see if you run into those same issues.
I think he probably got a bad batch and should just send the rest to me for proper disposal.
The only issues I've had were wrappers sometimes exploding as some of their sticks use a very thin wrapper leaf.
If you have a box of these, take out a cigar and mark the 'bottom side' of the stick with a pen mark on the band and see if this is the side that doesn't burn correctly...if it is, lower your humidity as Doc suggests. Try rotating them in the box as well. Burn issues, that's usually a storage problem that involves too much moisture.
