Opinions on Partagas Black Labels?

I like regular Partagas, anyone tried the sungrown black labels?

Sure, I have had some that were great and others that were bitter and harsh. I have had the best luck with the torpedos.

So far the best one is a torpedo that I kept for about a month and a half in a 70% humidor. The wrapper got even oilier and kinda chewy, really nice.

I didn't know Black label was sungrown? :smiley25:

I like the Partagas black Magnifico. It's the only Partagas that I've liked so far after trying many of them.

Smoked a Robusto sized one last night courtesy of superman78. I really enjoyed it. Nubbed it out. :smiley20:

they seem to be one of my buddy's fav smokes - but I can't seem to get into Partagas. I'll keep trying. Black label is a sun grown binder ey? I'll give em a shot.

edit: Nope...scratch the Black Label...maduro.....I HATE maduro..... :smiley18:

I guess I'll have to try some other Partagas.

I got a tin of the prontos and they are nice little cigars. Good for 15-20 minute walks.

I enjoy the Black Labels. My favorite is the Pyramid but the Pronto is a great little short smoke.

Try the Rosado (red label). I really like those...

These are "okay" but nothing to write home about in my book.

I'll give em' a try, but I'm with CC so far. Seems everytime I buy a Partagas I am unimpressed.

Say.....have you gotten your Gurkha Boers yet?

I like the Clasico. Nice smoke. I have yet to come across one that has disappointed me either in flavor or burn.

Not to jack the thread but I like the partagas "s" series. I really dig the figurado shapes. I wish I more companies would put out more shaped like the S series Esplendido.


But they could taste better.
