I am looking to try something I have never had, a candela AKA claro claro wrapper cigar. Ya know, the green ones. They used to be quite popular before the 1960s but these days hardly at all.
Can you guys give me some input on what is out there these days with this kind of wrapper?
Arturo Fuente 858 candela
Greycliff Emerald candela
La Gloria Cubana candela
Don't waste your time with the Astral candela or the Don Tomas candelas.
Now I am interested in the 858s but the online stores are either out of stock or they only sell boxes.
If anyone has some maybe I can buy a fiver.
Is there a significant taste difference in smoking one of these style Cigars?
Has anyone tried the Indian Tabac Candela?

I'm reviving this one to show that yes, I do search. I had an elderly man at the bar tell me about these Green Cigars that he used to smoke in the 50's and 60's. I had only seen Iguana's greenies in a Thompson's catalog, but never any before. Has anyone had a chance to try out one of these cigars recently? Are there any new additions that aren't on this list?
