New Bolivars
Well, my friend and I just tried the new Bolivars, and I gotta admit, construction was definitely sub-par. I'm a big fan of the previous Bolivars, so this was a disappointment. The flavor was fine, though not as strong as the previous blend, but the construction (mine was plugged, his cracked about 1/2 inch in of smoking, just not very good). I got them from JR's in Manhattan, so they were properly humidified the whole way. I hope to get a couple more just to see if we got 2 bad ones, but if this is a new trend, then General Cigar made a big mistake.

I had one friday. My construction was poor also. I had a big vien/stem running up the bottom of the cigar.
I also thought they were going to be strong, I was disappointed. It was closer to medium and my was slightly bitter.
I like it to a Cuba Aliados Cazador mad.

I just finished one. I got to say I was SUPER disappointed! It had a horrible vein the whole way down the wrapper. It was also somewhat mild...... Definitly doesn't live up to its name. :smiley21:

These cigars sucked IMO. I tried one in my local shop and I couldn't even finish it. I kept waiting for it to get better and it never did. As for construction, I agree it's not very well made. Gets a big :smiley21: from me.

I've got one or two of the "free cigar" coupons for these, are any shops still doing it?

Last week I got my freebie from a local cigar shop. I was told that I was the second to last one as they only had one left.
I have no tsmoked it yet so I will check in on this thread when I do and let you all know my impressions.
