For those of you who have tried them, what's your favorite alternative from JR. I triend the Don Diego Privada #1 alternative and enjoyed it.
I tried the Fuente Spanish Lonsdale based on a review on saw on another site and on JR's site. Well all I can tell you is that after I smoked one of these, I will use the rest for hand outs at the golf course and non aficionados. They sucked :smiley21:
I got a bundle of the Romeo y Julieta Bully's a few months back. They were Okay. Pretty close to the actual smokes. Nothing to get too excited about though. I smoked them up fast to get rid of them. What I remember is the good construction. Can't remember a single clunker. Not bad for a bundled stogie. For the price, not muct to complain about.
bought alts to macanudo rothschild and fuente about 7 yrs ago,neither one was good enough to spend money on again despite the low price-i'd rather pay a little more for a cigar i really like :smiley13:

I'm not a huge fan of the Alternates, I think the Ultimates aren't bad but I wouldn't call them "damn good smokes" however if Ignatious like them then that's fine, to each his own.
