found a new "cigar shop"
alright, it's not a cigar shop, it's a cigarette store, with some cigars. They only have about 10 different brands, BUT, they're all brands I couldn't get at the other crap place I was going and they actually have some nice cigars. So I ended up picking up a REO some Don Thomas candela, just because I've never tried a Candela wrapper before. Also I picked up a cigar that I don't know what it is. It has an X on it, I saw where SuperChuck had posted something similiar trying to find out what the cigar is. It's just a black bland with a gold X in the middle and a thin Gold edge around the Black band. Any thoughts? I coulda sworn i read on the box (the box also just had a huge X on it) that it said Oliva, but i searched the net and couldn't find it anywhere. But I'll probably be going there more often than the other place since they have better cigars. Plus it's right next to the W.V. state store, which is what I was looking for in the first place. Alright ranting over. :smiley20:

it's probably a series x that was made by oliva for united tobacco (reo,vibe)...they stopped selling them after carlito threw a hissy fit proclaiming that "they" own the letter "x".....oliva stopped making 'em out of respect for the royal fuentes (tongue in cheek)...there are,of course, lawsuits.
united feels very good about their chances of winning the lawsuit.

I was driving to Mount Prospect, IL last night and I noticed on the way a store....Discount Cigarrettes and Fine Cigars the sign said. I was going to stop in just to see what "Fine Cigars" they had, but I was running late. $100 says they did not even have a humidor and their fine cigars were probably White Owls. :smiley11:

there's liquor stores around my house that have 'fine cigars' neons in the windows and they'll have one of the those clear plastic humidors. one, i've actually seen digital hydrometers in it. they'll have 4 or 5 boxes of things like monte classic, helix, don thomas, RyJ for a couple $ over MSRP. i don't buy from them, but at least they have some half decent smokes

So if they have the hygrometers, what do they read?? Do they actually humidify the cigars??

it was 69 last time i was there

That's all I have around here. So I figured I'd go to the better cigarette store atleast. They didn't seem to be too overpriced, the Monte's probably were. Got the Reo for about 5 bucks, which I'm assuming is close to msrp.
But if I just want to pick up a few sticks real quick I can go to them now that I know what they have.
