Cigar Lounge

*Sigh*

It would be nice if there was a cigar friendly lounge around my area with nice seating that served decent drinks or fine coffee. In today's anti-smoking climate, your choices are limited. The only one around here I can find is at an upscale restaurant. The "cigar lounge" area is still pretty small. My only other choices are local bars with uncomfortable seats and maybe a Guiness Extra Stout buried in the back of the fridge to go with the smoke. You can usually find Bourbon or Scotch I guess, but I don't feel like drinking hard liquor all the time. Another thing, even at bars you'll find folks who comlain of cigar smoke. It never amazes me how many smokers (women usually) who will comlain about anti-smoking sentiment in one breath, then complain of your cigar smoke in the next. :smiley29:

Hell, we can't even smoke in bars!

I think you can smoke in an establishment that receives over a certain amount of its income from tobacco sales, but that's it.

It is kind of nice, though, being able to go to a bar and not have the air thick with cigarette smoke...

It gets irritating not having anywhere to smoke a cigar during winter except the cluttered, cold, dank, dark garage. I always thought the basment would work, but that's not the case. You can smell the smoke all through the house for some reason. Even upstairs! I'll eventually get an exhaust system put in down there as part of remodeling the basement, but until then I'm stuck. I can't wait until the nice weather again. When I can sit on the porch and enjoy a cigar in peace and comfort.

I agree with you Kenyth. There aren't many comfortable places to smoke where I'm at. There ARE some, but they actually charge admittance and I have to drive 45 minutes to get to them.

When I finish my basement, I'm putting in a bar. I think I will get a large air purifier and allow smoking! Unfortunately, I believe you have to seal the room with plastic or it will leak throughout the house no matter what you do? Does anyone know how to make a smoker-friendly space inside the house??

I can smoke at our local lodge on Monday and Wednesdays only(the women don't like the cigar smoke when the go there on Friday nites)..which is better than nothing when it's cold out.
