I think regardless of whether it is Cuban or not, they are dog rockets. Let's say they use cuban tobacco for their short filler. Well, that means they are using the scraps left over. Also, short filler cigars tend to burn inconsistently, etc.
Sounds like smart internet marketing by CAO, which is known to actively participate on message boards.
while the short filler tends to lend a significant contribution to the flavor, the quality of the filler is more important than whether or not it's cuban. anything with quality cuban tobacco (whether or not it short filler or long filler) is going to cost more than that.
at that price, it might be worth trying, but i'd be willing to bet the farm that they aren't anything special.
just my 2 cents - never tried 'em personally.
