My day care had a child almost die! In critical condition!
Well, of all the headaches I don't need! Our Day Care provider (Starz Academy), one of the best in the area, just had a 2yo toddler critically injure himself. The class was playing in the yard, a gate was left unlatched. The child wandered into the parking lot, found a car with a partially open window and a stuffed animal in the back seat. He got his head stuck and hung himself on the window. He was there long enough to lose conciousness and require CPR. The poor little baby has a broken neck and oxygen deprivation damage, the extent of which are yet to be seen. He may well die or be seriously disabled. This is a TERRIBLE tragedy! :smiley19:
Chances are good that this day care provider will shut down after all is said and done. I imagine many employees will go elsewhere, some will surely be fired, a lawsuit is for certain. Investigations will happen. People are going to leave and the business' name will be forever tarnished.
I want my baby out before they close their doors. There are only three openings at the other highly rated Care provider in town. My wife is having a fit because she knows the people and children at the current place. I understand that, but that place is now a sinking ship in my book and it's time to bail. Customers and employees are going to start leaving. I don't want to wait until I'm forced into a more difficult decision than we already are.
I really hate this. The whole thing just makes you want to hug your babies and be a stay at home parent.
