Watching som old Honeymooners

I've been watching some old Honeymooners episodes and Gleason is just crackin' me up! I love it when he's trying to act important and starts sucking on a cigar, then goes in to a 30 second coughing fit. When he finally stops he says "It pays to buy the best!"

I go back and forth on Jackie Gleason. Sometimes he cracks me up, other times I don't find him very funny at all. My first memories of watching television was when my dad used to watch "The Honeymooners." WOW, that was a long time ago.:smiley3:

When I was a kid, re-runs of shows like "The Honeymooners", "I Love Lucy", "Green Acres", "The Beverly Hillbillies", etc. were on all the time. You can't beat shows like that for good clean family humor. The popular late 60's-70's sitcoms like "All in the Family", "The Jeffersons", "Good Times", etc. had way too much political and racial humor in them for most kids.

did you know his coffee cup had booze in it?

You were around for first run, old guy! My family used to watch that religiously. When the Gleason show ran much later, we didn't miss that either. Those were the one TV (maybe) days and that was B&W.
