I've found mine get bitter in the last part when I sometimes have burn issues and puff a bit too quickly to keep it going. I've learned to just let it go out and relight.
Does this sound like the issue you're having?

I think your cigars get too wet from the saliva and that tends to collect tar as well as prevent a nice draw. Tar is what contributes to the bitter taste. If that happens to my cigar I usually recut it maybe 1/4 of an inch and its back to normal for me
Spot on. I guess I need to just relight as well instead of puffing to get'er going again.Quote:

Thanks both for the info.
Cause you're smokin the wrong end. Turn em around and light em the other way :smiley29:.Quote:

I do cut, but I guess since I am a slobberin' fool, my saliva is creating a tar trap.
Good post. I have the same problem too.
On vcuts, small snips and punch cuts,I tend to cut them fully at just past the half way mark while smokeing or if tar gets built up to much at the end,a simple cut fixes.
