Got any favorite rock albums?
Some come to mind:
1. LZ - Song Remains the Same
2. PF - The Wall
Although I have lots of albums that I love, The Beatles - Abbey Road Side 2 is my favorite of all time. Not Rock, granted, but still my favorite.
PF Dark Side of the Moon
the older i get,the less i like about the beatles...compared to other bands...but that one side of the "abbey road" album is one of the greats in music...
"and in the end....."
Wow. This is a wide open question. I have way too many favorites to think of, even harder to list. These are all part of a regular rotation and have to be up there in my top 100 "rock" albums:
-Led Zeppelin: III and Houses of the Holy
-Quakes: Last of the Human Beings
-Beatles: White Album, Let it Be – and of course that beauty of many songs in one (Side 2 of Abbey Road)
-Fireball Ministry: The Second Great Awakening, FBMEP
-Pink Floyd: Meddle, Obscurred by Clouds, The Final Cut
-Drive-by-Truckers: Southern Rock Opera, The Dirty South
-Ween: White Pepper
-Tiger Army: Ghost Tigers Rise, Power of Moonlight
-Steely Dan: Aja
-Jane’s Addiction: Nothing’s Shocking
-Neil Young: Decade, Silver and Gold
-Guns N’ Roses: Appetite for Destruction
-Elvis: too many to mention…
-H.I.M.: Love Metal
-Grant Lee Buffalo: Fuzzy, Mighty Joe Moon
-Misfits: Legacy of Brutality
-Faith No More: Album of the Year
-Cult: Love, Electric, Sonic Temple
-David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust, Heathen
-Black Sabbath: Self Titled, Technical Ectasy
-The Clash: On Broadway, London Calling
-Rush: 2112, Moving Pictures, A Farewell to Kings
-Jethro Tull: Aqualung
-Buddy Holly: anything he put out in his short career is amazing...
- Pink Floyd - The Wall
- Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
- Black Sabbath - Paranoid
- Uriah Heep - The Magician's Birthday
- SRV - Any of 'em
- ACDC - Back in Black
- Deep Purple - In Rock
How many can we name?:smiley4:
As an afternote, I have 350+ records (yes, the 12" ones), 200 cassettes and about 250 CDs
Interesting choice James. Personally, I like the first 4 and didn't really care for anything after Vol IV.Quote:

All the Led Zepplin stuff.
There's been plenty of my favs already mentioned, but also,
Little Feat Waiting For Columbus
The Deep Purple album that has the single Child in Time
U2 Joshua Tree, and the B sides from greatest hits 1990-2000
Amazing Rythym Aces, Too Stuffed To Jump
I like the Rolling Stones. All of it.
I've always fucking hated Kiss. Worse than disco.

Dan, I have to list Dark Side of the Moon as well. I got the album the other day and every time I listen to it I like it more.
It doesn't get any better than Les Claypool. Buckethead is pretty badass too.
Dream Theater Images and Words
Nightwish Once and Oceanborn
Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
Rush -The entire collection-
Primus Sailing the Sea's of Cheese
Queensryche Operation Mindcrime
Now c'mon, there's nothing worse than disco. :smiley2:Quote:

Black Sabbath We Sold Our Soul For Rock & Roll, Paranoid etc.
AC/DC Live or any other AC/DC
Aerosmith Toys In The Attic
Led Zeppelin "IV" and many more
Queen Jazz
I saw Kiss and Aerosmith at the same show a couple of years ago. I have to admit Aerosmith's set was lame compared to Kiss. I've seen a lot of live music so I consider myself a fairly credible judge.
Zeppelin(II & IV), Steve Miller Band, the Eagles, Allman Brothers, Stockholm Syndrome, Little Women with Jerry Joseph, Moe(that is probably not rock). All the other bands coming to mind are reggae jam bands or just not rock. Hmm...
Rage Against The Machine- Any
White Stripes- Elephant
Allman Brothers- Eat a Peach
Queens of the Stone Age- Songs For The Deaf
Bruce Springsteen- Nebraska
Jane's Addiction- Ritual de lo Habitual
Guns and Roses- Appetite for Destruction
Red Hot Chili Peppers- Blood Sugar Sex Magic
Metallica- Ride The Lightning
Weezer- Blue Album, Green Album
Nirvana- In Utero
Tom Petty- Southern Accents
The Ramones- Mania
U2- Rattle and Hum, Achtung Baby
Suicidal Tendencies- How Will I Laugh Tomorrow...
Neil Young and Crazy Horse- Ragged Glory
Man, I could go on for days
If you like Queens of the Stone Age you should check out Kyuss, which is the original incarnation of the band, and IMO, much better.
