Opus X - Worth the price?

Do these cigars (in their finest condition) live up to their price? If so, what's a good choice for someone isnt familiar with the brand?

i don't think they are worth it. they are great cigars, but there's better for less than my opinion

They are well worth the money but don't pay outrageous prices for them which far too many people do.

I would suggest that you start with a Fuente Fuente which is 5 5/8 x 46 or a Perfexcion #5 which is 4 7/8 x 40. Another popular size these days is the "Power Ranger" which is a mini-belicoso (sorry but I can't remember the exact dimensions).

These are hard to find but again when you do, don't pay too much for them. :smiley2:

AS CC said. VEry good cigar. If you can get them for retail they are very excellent cigars..

For the money I prefer the Padron Anniversary line...especially ther maduros. Opus seem a bit flat in the taste. Padrons are much more complex IMHO.

How about the Padron 1926?

Instead of the Opus X look for the AF Anejo. The Anejos and Hemi's are my favorite AF smokes.

What, you tryin' to drive him crazy? Añejos are darn near impossible to find and are only released around Christmas.

Personally, I prefer the Opus X over the Añejos.

I use Opus and Anejos for trade bait. I recently traded my Opus and Anejos for Padron 1964 and 1926 and some assorted Island Smokes. About the only Fuentes I really like are the Sungrowns. They are hard to beat.

quite a fan of the SGs myself, but i prefer the Rocky Patels a bit more.

Doh! I don't smoke much from AF so I'd forgetten these can be apain to get a hold of.
