Fixing a humidor
I was kinda stupid and bought a 50 dollar large humidor offline. The problem is the 'glass' top turned out to be a cheap sheet of plexi glass held on by four screws. I am thinking the top is leaking humidity like a demon so I have alot of trouble keep RH up. If there any kind of glue/caulk type material that will fix it or should I just spring for a better one. When I bought my current humidor I thought it was big enough then I started enjoying cigars more and more and the humidor seemed to shrink...:smiley12:

If the glass was held on like that, i doubt the rest of it is even quality work. Its probably particle board or something.
Id say bite the bullet, eat the $50 and buy a quality humi and start all over.

sorry...
Sorry if you are really getting into cigars the last thing you will want is a piss poor humi. And one that is plexi IS. What you would need to do at this point is replace the top with glass and make sure it has a decent seal that won't contamate the cigars. ie: none of that silicone crap like tub sealer. :smiley5: You are local if Ya' want contact me, PM sent.

Not only that - some of those cheap eBay humidors are made of pine instead of Spanish cedar.
Make yourself an Igloodor and save some moolah.

Coolidor will defiantly save you $ immediately and in the future. I'd say eat the $50, you get what you pay for. Buy a better humidor or if $ is low, but a cooler and make a coolidor. When you have $ then you would be able to decide if want to spend the $ on a humidor, plus you may get some ideas of what you really want in a humidor.
