Similar to Cohiba?
I got some Red Dot Cohiba Robustos that came with that excellent Xikar cutter deal. I love these cigars, but I can't afford to buy them very often($12each). Is there something somone can recomend that has a similar characteristics? I'm kind of a cigar newbie, but I do like those Cohiba Red Dots:smiley41: Some of my other faves are the RP 92 vintage segundos, and Padron 2000s. I seem to prefer the full flavored stogies. Any suggestions would be appreciated:smiley1:

Those red dots are way over-rated, IMO. There's a lot of very good full flavored cigars out there for less than 1/2 the price.
Oliva has re-packaged their stuff, but look for maduros (are bolds still available?) BPP would have the new marketing scoop on these
Fuente has a sungrowns out in a couple of vitolas that are currently easy to find - look for rothchilds and belicosos with a black ribbon on the foot - these are excfellent
I've been on a Camacho Corojo kick - I'm finding them displayed in boxes and cabinets, in 3-4 sizes. BPP and an article I found convinced me to try these and they are excellent.
Partagas and RyJ have maduro lines that are nice
La Flor Dominica has some very nice smokes out there - try the chisels
If ya really want an ass-kicker, get Joya de Nicaragua Antanos. But brace yourself.
Carlos Torano virtuoso line is another outstanding cigar
There's more - these are a few of my favs (not that JdN though - good flavor, but too strong for me)
