I did enjoy it. Not as much as other RP's but still an enjoyable mid day smoke.
I tried my first one a week or so ago and I really really liked it. I think it could edge out the RyJ as my "go to" smoke.
I have a couple more in the humi to fire up but I have a bunch of new ones to try so it might be a bit.
So many smokes, so little time.
I'm embarressed to admit I've never had an RP. What are some of the good ones that people recommend ? Especially ones that would qualify as an everyday smoke. But will also take recommendations on their top of the line ones as well.
Go to CBid and get some 5'vers of the 2nds. Their construction is very good, and I have yet to have one I could not smoke or enjoy. Myfavorite is the Vintage 1990's. I didn't really like the 92's, but that was b/c the flavor didn't do anything to me. Honestly, though, try them all. They are all good in their own way. Cbid, 2nds, do it!
I was lucky enough to have one in my "newbie Sampler" thanks to Dan. This is my first RP and DAN is right! The first few puffs are amazing. It doesn't start out too strong, or too mild, it just starts off just right.
Draw was good, ash stays together nicely, and wrapper is strong and sturdy! The cigar seemed to burn pretty fast at first, but I figure it was just the 40 degree weather outside. But, the flavoring of this particular cigar was worth the hour and a half outside. Flavor gets more intense in the end, peppery undertones were present the last quarter of the cigar. For my first ever RP, this was amazing. I can't wait to try the 5ver of the RP Vintage 90s I won from Cbid, through Cabaiguan Juan's recommendation. Thanks again Dan!
