I don't know what you mean by "landslide" but I offered a bet that no one took. Yes, I was wrong but why weren't any of you so confident before Election Day that I was wrong?:smiley5:

I like what the onion has to say:
WASHINGTON, DC—After months of aggressive campaigning and with nearly 99 percent of ballots counted, politicians were the big winners in Tuesday's midterm election, taking all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, retaining a majority with 100 out of 100 seats in the Senate, and pushing political candidates to victory in each of the 36 gubernatorial races up for grabs.

man, i love the onion. i've got their book Our Dumb Century. I almost never stopped laughing at their article on the recall of the carbon monoxide detector with a snooze button.
Funny. Congrats on the Democratic win, That may last maybe 4years at the most.
Are we all on speaking terms now? Good.
I really liked some of those moderates (and Lincoln Chaffe) that were replaced. I believe some of them were good people that were trying to do what they felt was best for America. Several of them probably still have a future in politics.
At first I was concerned about the gap widening between the parties. On the other hand, it looks like the Dems may have to move more toward the center to get anything done since several of the new Dems are more moderate. And it looks like the Independent party will finally be important. Joe has been one of my favorites in Washington for a while. Kind of nerdy but a good guy.
One of my "Conservative" neighbors told me today that he actually likes the lineup. Surprised the sh*t out of me.
Has anyone told Lincoln Chaffe that he's really a Democrat?
C'est la vie! :smiley1:
