I have a new dog.
The short version of a long and frustrating story is:
My step daughter is moving into our mobile home in San Diego. The mobile doesn't have a yard so I'm sort of inheriting her dog "Thunder".
I've wanted a dog for a while and Thunder is a good one. He's smart, he knows certain commands really well like Sit, Come, Blanket (go lie down on your blanket) and he's working on other commands like "Stay". He's not good on a leash so I'm going to have to work with him to teach him how to walk without pulling on the leash. But he's a good dog and he really wants to please you.
My step daughter got him from the pound up in Vancouver. We think he's part husky and part German Shepard. He sure loves our house with all the new smells and sights. Once he learns how to walk on a leash I want to take him out to some of the trails I hike. I think he'll love it.
So this is our new family member: Thunder

Nice looking dog. My sister had a full blood husky when I was younger, but some asshole stole it right out of the yard. Cut the lock off with bolt cutters.......never saw the guy again!! :smiley19:
They are great dogs, and you're right, very intelligent.

That's great news and very kind of you to take him in.
The cigar hounds say howdy (they're pound puppies also).
