well the other day after i was enjoying an El Rey Del Mundo, my wife was discussed (sp?) by the smell/taste. she doesn't mind the smell of pipe tabacco, though. while i don't want to give up the stronger cigars, is there any cigar that has a smell/taste simillar to that of pipe tabacco that i could smoke around my wife? also in the range of $5 or less a stick.

There is a Boutique Cigar maker here in San Antonio with a pretty good reputation called Latin Gold that has a limited line of cigars with pipe tobacco fillers and an Indonesian wrapper. I haven't tried these, but I have had a couple of their other cigars and enjoyed them, they were good quality, smoked well, and had very good flavor. I would think they would be better quality than Black and Milds at least.

Hmmmmm, the AF Flora Fina would seem to have that flowerly smell(hence the name) Then again, I hear swishers has a sweet, chocolate cigar. :smiley2: :smiley36: :smiley36: Sorry-have to build off of the joke(howevery pathetically on my part) by the previous poster. :smiley14:

If you must smoke cigars like that.
Than at least go with the CAO flavored cigars. Some of them have a nice smell to them.
on the subject of pipe tabacco cigars, has anyone tried the ones from Durangocigars.com ? i just did a google search and they came up.
I used to smoke JOHN T. CROWDPLEASERS it came in 4 different flavors of pipe filler.

I got one of these at CigarFest '05. Smelled like Pipe tobacco. I didn't think I was gonna like it but turned out to be not so bad. Even my wife said it didn't smell too bad.
George, I tried one of those CAO Flavours, smelled good before the light but after the light........ yuck !!!!
Guess I'm becoming a little bit of a cigar snob.......... :smiley36:
