J.l. Salazar Y Hermanos Reserva Especial
I ordered a sampler a while back and decided to smoke one of these yesterday evening on the deck. The weather warmed up to the low 50's so it was comfortable enough to smoke while grilling salmon and shoveling snow off my deck.
The cigar was well constructed and I made particular note of the cap. The cigar lit easily and burned fairly evenly all the way down. I had to make one correction. The ash was firm and held on for almost two inches of burn. The first third of the cigar was very spicey - peppery I think - and I didnt think I was going to make it through. I held on and the taste mellowed out a bit and was pleasant, but still peppery, the rest of the way down. Probably not something I would keep on-hand, but it turned out well enough that I won't mind smoking the sticks I have left.
