Nording
Picked this little one up at the B&M for around $5.
Size: 4 x 54
Shape: Torpedo
Wrapper: Costa Rica
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Mexico
This cigar is blended by Rocky Patel for the pipe maker Erik Nording. I heard it was made by Patel, so I had to try it.
Not a bad cigar. Fat and Stubby. Medium Bodied. Not a complex smoke, but nothing foul or harsh. The draw was a little loose, but gives off a lot of smoke. This one didnt excite me, but I wouldn't mind buying one or two more.
Hadn't heard of anyone else smoking these so I thought I would post a quick review.

Never heard of them, thanks for the info Chris.

Received a couple of these at the Herf at Havana Dreams. Decent cigar. Thanks for the review Chris. I think, I'm beginning to learn.:smiley41:

I had one a while back. Very nice construction, I thought the draw was a hair tight but it was a tasty cigar. Nothing over board but it was nice.

My first one was handed to me by Eric Nording last year. I smoked it on the 1 1/2 hour drive home after meeting the man in KC. We discussed a pipe I wanted him to make and he said he would do it. I shall know in Sept when he comes back to KC if he remember to make it.
The cigar didn't blow me out of the water but I wouldn't mind smoking more of them as they was pretty pleasant with very little maintenance on it. So if you ever get a chance to meet him, I'd recommend it as he is one cool old man.:smiley37:

I saw the Nordings at a local B&M a few months ago, and when I found out they were made by RP I was intrigued. Last week I had the opportunity to sit down and have one at the local shop. I don't recall which one, but it was a corona. The construction and burn were excellent, but the flavor did nothing for me. I will have to try another just to be sure, but will probably chalk the Nording as not to my taste.
Oh well, RP certainly makes other lines I really enjoy and it was well worth checking out.
