Agony and Dispair
Tried the Ashton Esg tonight. $20 smoke and I killed it. Paid that much once for a Partagas 150 robusto($30) and regretted it but this was better. Very nice pre light. Peppery tatse to the lips and more to the tongue on pre light draws. I fired that puppy up and it was real nice. I was ready for a treat. It was fresh like a fresh breath of air or a ripe fruit. SMOOTH PUFFY GOODNESS. Not a great ash, but pretty fine to 3/4 of an inch. I sat it in a level position on a cigar ashtray for maybe a minute and it went out before the next draw. NOOOOOOOO! Absolute death to me and it.:smiley42: A slight reprive following a Cuervo, but I smoked that skank to 2 inches and grabbed an Opus X super belisco to drown my sorrows. I have neglected and relit many PB Classicos and MX2"s without incident, but this was a deal buster. I will try again eventually. Pray for me or something.

If you plan on dropping $20 on a cigar - grab a Davidoff. I'm particularly fond of the Anniversario series. While they're pricey, I've never been disappointed with spending the money compared to other cigars.
The ESG is a great smoke - but I don't know if it is truly worth the pricetag...
