Have any of you ever cut a cigar that was too long to smoke it ? Meaning, I have a cigar that is as long as my :smiley35: . I was thinking about cutting some length off of it so I dont spend 4 1/2 hours smoking it.
Would it change the flavor of the smoke or anything else for that matter ?
finer cigars may have variations in the quantity and type of tobacco through the cigar to enhance certain flavors the blenders are going for.
Cutting the cigar will alter what the blender is trying to deliver.
IMO I like the first 1/2 to 3/4 of a cigar more than the nub anyway so I wouldn't cut any off. Just smoke as much as you want and toss the rest.

In my opinion, it works pretty good, but I've never cut anything bigger to make a shorter smoke. Even if I liked the result, that doesn't mean you will. I'd say give it a shot and see how you make out.

I have known people to cut cigars in half. I have never done it myself for reasons other than to ride a split wrapper issue.

When you cut the cigars in half did you notice any differences in flavor, strength, burn, etc. ?
I would think there would be a difference.
