As most of you know, I started worked for the local B&M back in Feburary. It is an awesome job. I'm learning so much about cigars and customers and the cigar rep's take care of me:smiley2: . Unfortunitly, I've been unable to find a balance between B&M work and life outside of it. So, yesterday, I gave Mike at Bethesda Tobacco my 3 weeks notice.:smiley6:

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you Jon. I know you were enjoying that position.
It can be very difficult to take a hobby and turn it into a career. I grew up loving computers, while my friends were partying in high school, I was usually messing around with some code, learning how things worked. It was fun. Fast forward 10 years later, I work as a full time software developer for a telecommunications company. I used to love coming home and writing a useful application of some kind. I can't do it anymore. It's just become way to monotonous to sit in front of a computer all the time. I don't like my hobby anymore.
You know what's best for you. At least you got a chance to work a "dream job" for a ltitle while...

Man, I wish your B&M was close to where I lived. I wouldn't mind doing that part-time just to learn more about the cigar business and earn a few extra bucks on the side. At least it was an experience you had the pleasure of doing. Don't worry, when you have more time later in life, who knows, you may get a chance to do it again.
