my humi seems stuck at 61%

I'd like to have it a tad higher just to be safe. I've had it for close to a month now so it should be pretty leveled out. I added a good bit more water to it yesterday afternoon but it's still just chillin at 61. I feel confident it's not the hygrometer acting up as it's gone as high as 80 when I first got the thing and was soaking water into the wood. For the first two weeks or so it would slowly shift from 65-70%, my guess is depending on the weather.

Any suggestions or should I even bother?

What are you using for humidity? The beads are pretty damn good at keeping a constant RH.

Calibrate your hygrometer just to make sure it is not off.
