I'll be going on a cruise in October from New York to San Juan. We will be porting at St. Thomas, Antigua, and St Lucia. Are the cigars on the ship worth buying? Are the cigars on the islands worth buying? I am planning on bringing my own, but need to know if they are worth making a purchase. this way I will know how big of a travel humidor I'll need to bring with me.
Any other comments or suggestions about cigars on the cruise ship and the ports along the way would be grateful.
When I went on a cruise I took all my own cigars. I didn't buy any on the ship because I don't remember them selling any. I didn't buy any in the port because most of the time they where fake and when they where legit they where way over priced.
Take your own. Definately.
The cruise I went on was overpriced and not a selection at all.
the ports on the islands are overpriced for sure...the only good deals on quality stuff is the alcohol, save 20-40% on some stuff. the resort in St. Thomas I stayed at had cigars at about normal prices though...definitely worth it to bring your own though
Last cruise I went on wanted $13 for a Punch Rothchild...LMAO!
Thanks for the heads up guys. Looks like I'll be buying a smaller travel humidor and will not plan on buying any .
