Does anyone know if CNB is alright? He left for vacation about a month ago, but was due back on or shortly after June 2 (almost three weeks ago). Maybe he established residence in Mexico after remembering he owes me cigars. :smiley7:

Hmm, that is troubling. Have you tried an email? Anyone here with a phone number?
I shot him an email through his user profile this morning but I haven't heard back. I have no idea about an address/phone number.
I've exchanged e-mails with him not too long ago........seems as if the "man" has tightened up internet access at his work so he can't be on as often. No idea about the payment for his contest though.
Let me know if you don't here from him soon Jon and we'll see if the e-mail you have matches the one I have.
Has this been corrected?
DG
Not yet, but it will be. I've told Jon that if CNB doesn't come through that I will cover his winnings. I helped with the contest after all. I've given Jon the mail address that I had and successfully used a few weeks ago.
If you've no objection Jon, lets give it to the end of the week and if you haven't heard I will send on Monday.
That's a very generous offer, and I have no problem waiting. The NHL thread has taught me patience. :smiley17:
How come nobody ever misses me when I'm gone for a few weeks? Hope he is ok though, CNB rules I've done a couple of trades with him.
I was supposed to meet up with him in Houston last week. I talked to him a month and a half ago, and when time came I emailed him to see where he wanted to go for a smoke and never heard back.
Hope we hear from him soon.
If someone has his address, it can be ran through whitepages.com to get a home telephone number.
I used to have it but don't anymore, I want to say he lives in Sugarland? Maybe Katy I can't remember for sure.
And, he was part-timing at a B&M I'm pretty sure. Don't know the name of it though.
I'm guessing you have had no contact from CNB Jon..........am I right? Let me know.
This is pretty out of character for him, I got to meet him last summer during the RTDA. He has always been prompt in my dealings with him.
I hope he is ok.
Still no word from him, but I think we really should exhaust all other means of contacting him before doing anything else. What is his name? Perhaps someone could call the B&M he worked at to see if they knew what was up. Hell, maybe he'll even pick up the phone there. Or, if someone knows his first AND last name (or his home address), his number could be looked up on whitepages.com.
*edit* The phone number of the shop is 281 265 1387. Anyone wanna give 'em a call?
SpiffyKyle lives close by. Maybe he knows?
Actually, Kyle has been traversing the country due to his business, and he's been MIA for as long (or perhaps even longer) than CNB.
Not exactly. I saw Spiffy's intro over on BOTL. The traitor has jumped ship. CNB might have done the same under a new name.
They should be forced to smoke a Murial Magnum and then walk the plank.
No one can be 100% positive, but if CNB isn't around it's NOT because he has found a new board or is trying to stiff JFellows.
Until we know for sure what happened it's all useless speculation.
Hello everyone, I got a call from Shelby today. He asked how I was doing, and I told him a few things that have been on my mind.
Back when I was last on vacation, I went back to the doctor after having a few tests. Bad news. She's been trying to get me to have surgery for a while now and I finally gave in. So she put me on a liquid diet right after Memorial day and it's making me sick as hell. I have to lose quite a bit of weight in about 90 days. Sour stomach all the time, and cigars just made it worse. And the surgery has been on my mind big time so that's about all I've been thinking about.
I have e-mailed JFellows to let him have my apologies and told him I will get his sticks out asap. Might as well have someone smoke them for me. About once a week I try to smoke one and end up getting sick as hell.
I doubt you will see much of me in the near future. This is weighing heavily on my mind, and this liquid diet is making me so sick I don't even want to think about cigars.
i don't want anyone to feel sorry for me. I'm pretty sure I'll be OK but I've never had surgery before, but I've seen family members go through several serious surgeries, and watched my dad spend a week in ICU, so I'm pretty terrified.
So I hope all is well with everybody. God willing I will come out of this OK this fall and be back to my cigar smoking ways. I don't really want to share any more details, but my health is at risk and I don't want to chicken out so I'm really struggling.
Sorry to hear this Chris. My prayers will be with you.
As I said in the email, PLEASE ensure that your health is your priority. The cigars are a non-issue when there are serious matters at hand. Good luck and prayers will be with you.
We'll think about you each and every day. I recently had major abdominal surgery. Screwed around with an ulcerated appendix and whammo in a few days I had developed peritonitis. I was lucky to come out of that one alive. You need to follow through. The surgery wasn't really all too bad. Just an inconvenience. Keep us informed.

We're here for ya Brother... Anything you need!
fuck man.
One, I'm glad you're taking care of this health issue.
Two, as you are a mainstay on this board, thanks for tying up this loose end with JF.
Three, While i appreciate both your fear and need for privacy around this issue, please don't keep us in the dark - just maybe drop us the occassional line and let us know that you're like still kickin'.
Four, that is outstanding that you're following the doc's orders and dropping the weight - you're gonna feel better for it.
Five, good to hear from ya bro.
prayers and well wishes.
Also - thanks to Shelby for taking the initiative to call CNB.
Thanks for checking in, I was glad to hear everything was "ok". Good luck with your health issues, the cigars will only get better with some age. :smiley20:
My prays are with you. I am sure all will be well! :smiley31:
From a fellow member of the CCC, I wish you the best with the diet and surgery. Keep us as up to date as you feel comfortable.
Good luck with the surgery!
