Punch Rare Corojo with a dram of Bunnahabhain
Nice way to end the week.
Had a Savinelli Liga Especial Torpedo last night sitting in front of the fire pit watching wood burn while having some Sam Adams. Good times.:smiley20:
:smiley41:So my in-laws were flying into town today and my wife has had me scrubbing the house from top to bottom. All I wanted to do was put my feet up and enjoy one last stick before they arrived and increased my stress level for the next 7 days. Well I'm already to grab a Padilla Habano churchill when I'm informed that the dogs need to go out again. So I jump at it thinking it'll be the last thing I have to do. Well my sheppard mix decides to roll in something vile and she smelled so bad I could taste it from about 50 yards. After scrubbing her for almost 45 min. I was jonseing for a few minutes for myself. I started digging through my humidor and found my last Punch Rare Corojo rothschild...alas HEAVEN...I don't think I've ever earned a smoke like today's.

Congrats gifters on smoking your first cigar. How was it?
I enjoyed it, up until the point where I accidentally inhaled. The next two cigars went much smoother although I needed to take larger puffs and hold them longer. The second best part was how relaxing it was, minus the inhaling part. Hopefully next time I'll be drinking less and be able to savor the flavor longer. The best part was on Sunday, tasting the cigars periodically through the day... oops now my mouth is beginning to water.
When did the blend change and is there a way I could tell from the packaging, wrapper? Or are you meaning the Playboy cigar not produced by Don Diego? I've not had the "Playboy by Don Diego" stick, but this cigar was well constructed, burned well and was very enjoyable, although I was smoking it while playing horseshoes, so I had to rest it on beer can fairly often and attempted to only put my fingers on the band.
Last night was an Ashton Aged Maduro #40 with a Yuengling Black & Tan.
Last night I escaped to the patio to relax with a Perdomo Lot 23 Toro and a generous few fingers of scotch.
I'm always amazed at how some of you guys can afford to smoke 3-4 sticks a day. I'm lucky if I can manage 2-3 a week!
While I'm sure some folks smoke several cigars a day I doubt if many of us do. As for myself, some days I smoke nothing, occasionally I'll have 2-4 in a day if I'm in the mood or we have company. Most days when I do smoke I'll just have 1, maybe 2. I find that after the first couple my mouth turns to mud anyway and I have trouble tasting anything. At that point I'm usually just smoking to have a cigar in my hand.
2 sticks in a day would be a lot for me and they usually only happens on a golf course when I offer 1 on the fron nine and one of my buddys offers up a different stick on the back 9. Beyond that I have to agree about building up the collection when circumstances allow and further agree that finding the time to sit back and relax is probably the hardest part of it all.

I can usually smoke a cigar while watering the garden in the afternoons - a Tatuaje Havana VI or Padron Londres fits the bill nicely. I have to either really want to smoke a cigar that's bigger than that during this time of year. We don't smoke in the house, and it's just too damn hot outside for a 2 hour cigar.
ETA: Last night was a Diablo Picantes - delicious!
smoking cigars takes time, you don't want to smoke them too fast anyway. I wish I had more time to smoke them myself. It is nice to sit back, relax, and enjoy a quality one. :smiley41: :smiley4:
I should have listened to all the advice and gone with a coolerdor the first time, but I'm going to now...and I'm plotting - not just a coolerdor, I'ma find me an old broken Chest/Deep freezer and turn it into a huge cigar aging/money sucking black hole. :smiley4:
The most I've had in a day was 3 and it was during a golf round. It caused a bit of nicotine overload and I didn't feel too well. Usually though, I will smoke one on the front nine and one on the back nine.
Trilogy Corojo Torpedo from Alec Bradley.
I can't decide what to smoke tonight, 5v Relic, 5v "A", RP Vintage 92, Gurkha titan, too many choices. :smiley29:
I've also got two Oliva V Figurados that I really wanna smoke (well actually just one), but they've only been in the humi for a month or so. grr.
Cabaiguan Coronas Extra
Monte #2 and a Coney Island Lager.
Cigar: Oliva Serie G Maduro Perfecto
Drink: Murphy's Stout, then a glass of water
I have to say, I really, really like this cigar. I think I found my new favorite!
