Caps lock, CAPS LOCK!!!
Well, I'll contribute a bit to this thread by saying the Stogie Review has posted a review (with pictures) of the Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve (Corojo Toro):
http://www.stogiereview.com/?p=93
Enjoy!
You dont have to spam stogiereview....it is in your signature and was saved the first day you posted or had it in your sig....lol.:smiley20:
:smiley31: I know what you mean. I try to make a conscious effort not to spam the site outside of my sig. I was just trying to bring the topic back to its original discussion.
The end wrapper can be smoked.
It is a homogenized wrapper normally used on machine made cigars.
From what I hear,it doesn't change the flavor either way.The two I smoked, one on,one off,one corojo, one maduro,I didnt notice flavor problems. It is difficult to remove that wrapper too,so rather ruining the first 1/3 of the stick,it is suggested to leave it on.
The maduro's are beautiful and sweet!
Interesting...I didn't try smoking with one on and the five I smoked slid off pretty effortlessly. The other folks I know who have smoked these either love them or hate them and nothing inbetween. Guess I will have to give it a shot with it on...

caribe, puros indios, and villazon are also in danli.....if i'm not mistaken, rocky patel's cigars are made in a section of nestor plasencia's factory...
An hour from my Grandma's house. I Will be making another trip to Honduras most definitely. I will need to figure out who to contact to take some tours. Man that would be incredible! :smiley32: Ever since I was little cigar making was fascinating to me. Although I never thought I would enjoy smoking those "stinky things the old men" smoke. Now I have learned those "stinky" ones are JUNK! :D
try to speak with christian eiroa at caribe...he's usually very accessible and could set something up for you...
Actually, the only cigars made at General is the Vintages. The rest are made at RP's factory.Quote:

Above picture is RP's.
I hope this helps to clarify the difference between the 2.
Nice pics! Thanks for sharing them!
Sweet pics. Highly resembles a sweat shop, well then again it is cheap labor in a foreign country so I guess it is? :smiley5:
Either way I talked to oen of my best friends and we decided we will definitely be going to honduras soon(after my wedding of course). The girls can go to the beach while the guys go to the cigar factories! w00t!
And on a sad note I STILL did not get to try out the RP Old world stick. :smiley19:
So they are all rolling and no one is smoking a cigar. Not even a funky 1/3 of the braided one (yep to tired to look up the spelling of that one).
Something is off there. They probably all made nikes until they were 25 and then move on to cigars.
And not one of them is smiling.
I'd be grinning like a pig in shit in there.
