I dont know. I dont read chinese to good. LOL. Only name I can find on it is Soul Drum. I bought it for my daughter a couple years ago.
Timing couldnt have been worse. My daughter just came down and got nosey. And said I better not. Sorry she would kill me.
If they use laser, it's useless. And laser detectors are crap because with a laser, if the cop lases (that's a neat word) you, it's already too late.
That being said, it doesn't hurt to go to court and contest it. Sometimes they let you plea to a local ordnance which at least saves you points. Plus, if you decide to contest and the officer doesn't show (sick, retired, etc) then you walk out home free.

You don't need any drums anyway. Who do you think you are? Some little drummer boy or something?
About 90% of the time around here they are still using radar. I don't know why but maybe it is due to costs. So it's still worth it to me.
In Texas, we can take Defensive Driving to erase a ticket from our record. You can do it once every 12 months. So even when I get a ticket every 3-4 years, I just take DD.
NOT...
I've seen people actually smashing 'em while they were getting a speeding ticket... :smiley2:
I had one guy - holding a speeding ticket, had two convictions for speeding (3 in our state means "Buh-Bye" license) and I had stopped him for speeding (with his radar detector, prominently displayed on the dash, displaying all of it's bells and whistles).
Annoying when the little thing only tells you when you're about to get a ticket... :smiley36:
Great advice - except it doesn't do Chris a bit of good. Every jurisdiction is different. And some judges (depending on locality) are even miffed if you "contest it" and were guilty. You could be setting poor Chris up to weekends at hard labor (speaking of which, the wifey just woke up and I gotta go...)
I'm sure Chris has enough of a network in MS to get a handle on what he needs to do... :smiley2:
That's the best advice yet!!! :smiley20:
Sucks man, I have paid various counties in the state of michigan around 700 bucks in tickets and I have only been driving five years:smiley5: radar detectors don't hurt, mine reminds me to stop being a dumbass every time I pass a convenience store.
I got one here on Lackland which just counts for 2 points against my driving record on Lackland and I had to go and see the shirt to explain why I was doing 41 in a 35 at 0405 after a recall that I got at 0347. He just "filed" it away (after a good chuckle) and said don't let it happen again. That's it. :smiley4: If I get 12 points, then I can't drive on base. Sorry what happened Chris, hope you get that kit soon.
here in iowa if they see a radar detector it wipes out any possibility of a warning, this is no big deal if you have a bitter old cop who doesn't believe in warnings, but when a nice guy says "well i was going to give you a warning but...", it just makes you hate yourself for buying the thingQuote:
Just be careful in some states. VA for one will give you another ticket on top of your speeding ticket if you have one. They used to take them from you. At least that is what it was when my parents had a store on the KY/TN/VA border.
Think I've decided to go with this one ...

I would definately prefer mesh heads over rubber. Shouldn't be much longer and this puppy will be mine.
Thank you guys for all the advice.
That is SHARP!
Well, I did it. I ordered the set pictured above plus another drum throne and 3 pairs of sticks.
No more cigars for a while. :smiley12:
