I WANT A PUPPY!!! :smiley26:
This is my kitty. I named him Sherwood, after the forest. He loves people and to ham it for pictures. His favorite thing to do is act cute for treats. He weights 15-16 pounds (because of the holidays he might be a tad heavier) He basically is low maintenance, only eating one type of cat treat, Iams dry food, and he drinks water.
someone mentioned greyhounds!
I did. Just have to get a picture or two to post. Thanks for bumping this up StJohn!Quote:

Cool,I love animal lovers and seeing there pets.
I will post my lunatics later on.
Thunder is a blk lab/rotty 5yrs male
Raven is 4 yr old female blk lab
My senior citizen mutt died at 19yrs old last June.:smiley19:
At least she got a year in our new house's big yard, the dog park and swimming.
Bass, that third shot is a great one!!! Very nice scenery!!
Penguin, belated condolences for your Senior!! I had to put an Irish Setter down at 14 in the early 90's and I still think of her every day. My Mina (Black Lab) died in my arms in '99 and our Jack Russell was poisoned in '04. It's tough to see a pet die!!:smiley19:
Now we have a 10 yo Chocolate Lab, and a 6 yo Greyhound we rescued off a track. I'm gonna post pics tomorrow or Sunday.

This is my buddy! :)
Good news!
It looks like we're going to have a new member of the family, too.
We were out rollerblading yesterday afternoon and we saw a cat that appeared to have been hit by a car. We ran the cat to an emergency vet hospital where they basically told us it would cost $2500 to amputate the damaged leg.
Since we don't have that kind of cash just lying around, we spent most of the day trying to figure out what to do.
Last night, the vet called to tell us the hospital gave him permission to do the surgery himself after his shift was over. That brought the cost down to $500-$750, which we can afford (my gf is putting her entire tax refund toward it; she's the sweetest woman in the world).
My gf just called the hospital and he's awake and looking good. :smiley4:
I really want to do something to get the vet the recognition he deserves. I'm thinking about calling a local news outlet to see if they'll do a little "feel good" story on him.
Nope, he makes the evil eye right before he poops on me... :smiley36:Quote:

SuperChuck, :smiley20: for the cat. We've adopted every dog and cat we have and also I found the little chick on the side of road, so I'm a big believer in helping animals. :smiley37:
Should I tell you I'm having KFC for lunch? :smiley3:Quote:

My dad has racing pigeons and if you want I can get in touch with him and ask him what he feeds them.

Seriously - laying hens eat lotsa stuff. For a few summers when I was a kid I watched a neighbor's hen house and garden. That garden, especially the okra, was a pain in the ass to keep up with. I threw all the extra produce in with those chickens and they loved it. Hey I fed 'em their other stuff too - I just supplemented their diet.
Sam and Bailey

My heart went out to one little one missing a hind leg. So now I've got to take Nermal down to see how they interact. Here's to hoping for a happy family after the new addition!
My cat is a dog lover, so I know how that goes...Quote:
