Being a FNG, I know my opinion doesn't amount to much, but this is plain ridiculous. When I first arrived here I made the mistake of having respect for CC because of his high post count and the info and advice he had to give. And over the past few weeks it seems all he has done is follow Scotty around and post demeaning bullshit after any comment Scott makes. And then he feels vindicated because half a dozen people agree with him. Well I don't. I enjoy having people on the board who actually have POSITIVE things to say, regardless of whether they are cigar-related or not. AFAIK Scott's off topic posts are mainly limited to the general discussion forum. While CC may not like any posts made about things other than cigars, I don't recall reading a sticky proclaiming CC as king of the board. I enjoy having continuing discussions about all subject matter on this board, and that requires people who post things that they find intersting for us to discuss, or maybe even a rant about a bad day at work. Honestly at this point CC is falling into the same category as PB did, mainly because it's become annoying to have every single thread littered with childish crap.
CC, you need a new hobby bro, or maybe just a fucking JOB to occupy your time. Hell, maybe you just need to get laid and you'd be in a better mood. Personally, I'm not far from sticking you on my ignore list so I can browse the forums in peace.

There used to be a time when ANYONE appearing in court, no matter the cause (traffic ticket, lawsuit, criminal, whatever) wore a suit and tie. Go to court now, and you'll see ads for every major beer company there is. To me that is a total lack of respect for our judicial system. Further, when there was a time when everyone addressed the police as "officer", that is very rare these days. I don't even want to get into what people address the police as these days. All I can say is - I've not been on the boards for a heck of a long time - but I've seen these kinds of situations resolve themselves over time. It doesn't take a heck of a long time in terms of the ultimate life of the board. This particular board has grown substantially since I first joined up in late April. I see it will continue to grow. When I first happened across this site, I found at first glance that most everyone was friendly and helpful, and in the past month that i've been reading posts daily, I've seen much to the contrary. Some of you seem to thrive on making others feel bad... Some of you have been successful at making me feel bad for standing up for Scott. As I said before, I alot of us don't know the history and don't care to. I personally don't care to have your preconcieved notions about individuals shoved my way like I'm supposed to pick them up and join the shitfest. I like and respect all of you, some more than others. I don't tend to have many RL friends because I work long hours, and I like having a place to socialize, even if it isn't face to face. I'm not going to let the afformentioned issues ruin that for me.
So, continue your little vendetta if you must. From here on out I'm gonna do my best to stay out of it. I'll make this my official apology for making childish comments myself... Sorry CC, George, Hugh, and anyone else I forgot and may have offended. I only hope we can carry on despite all that has been said here.

Thanks for that Sarge... I had a chat with CC and some of the others last night and I am doing my best to repair the situation... I have conceded defeat and admitted to my mistakes. I don't really see why it's necessary to continue slamming me after I apologized to CC directly for the things that were said.
Well stop apologizing already. A simple, "I'm sorry guys, I shouldn't have stuck my nose into something I didn't know anything about" would have been sufficient. A page long apology is way over the top. Just let it go, move on, and do other stuff. You'll be on probation with these guys till your character is established so don't dwell on it.

I wasn't so sure that a simple "I'm sorry" would have been sufficient, hence the long post. I said what I felt I needed to say given the comments I made earlier. I don't expect an immediate change in attitudes towards me, but I can't help but continue to apologize when people continue to berate me over it.
