Hey waterlilly boy, more taping, less posting!

I've said what I needed to say about this. I don't think Rod's a bad guy, I do think some things were said and done out of anger though.

I only posted here because my name got dragged into it. Once again, just as it did over at club ape.....

I don't need a place to hide! I'll say it right out here in the open. Rod knows how I feel. Only time will tell as far as the rest of this goes!

I know who the rat is. I've been curious about this guy for a while now. I watch people and there behavior. The signs are there, you just need to know what to look for.....:smiley2:

Agreed, Sarge. I have no idea what all this is about, no clue as to what comments were made, no clue about the the heck hex is saying (not computer savvy enough) and no idea who the rat is. What I do know is that at Smokers, Snobs and Pass there are a whole lot of confused people right now and nothing gets better when people who don't have all the information start throwing around insults. One of the things I've noticed about these 3 communities that is different than a certain other site is that the people here are made aware of what's going on.

Sam you don't know me from Adam but I recall a thread over at Snobs containing a decent sized shit storm and you were in the center of it. One of the big complaints was the fact that threads were deleted and there was no explanation for bannings. Seems like the same type of thing is happening here, minus the deleted threads. Basically you and Rod and CC have all the answers about what is going on and the people that are pissed off don't. Are they making things better by screaming Foul Foul FOul? No, but is in the hands of those with the information to make this better, get things in the open and heal this community that we love.

I'm new to cigar BB's but I am very saddened by everything that has happened lately.

Wow. This has gotten out of hand fellas. I'll admit, I was quick to convict Rod after the attempt at accessing the admin portion of this site, and I may have been wrong for that. The truth is, I don't really know Rod. I've always thought him to be a good guy, but recent events have caused me to form negative opinions about him. Now, I will admit that sense I don't know him, those opinions may be way off base, and honestly I hope this whole issue with the login attempts is a misunderstanding. I would hate to see what started as a rift between two people turn into a battle across three communities.

I have come to the conclusion that maybe too many of us are sticking our nose in here. Whoever the rat is definately deserves to be outed and toasted, but that's really as far as our concerns here should be addressed. I like Bill and Rod's banning of him seemed to me like he was just giving CP over to the dumbasses, but that's really not my place to say. I think if most of us take some time away from the keyboard, we'll reallize that we should let this thing play out between the parties directly involved.

I am more interested in finding out who the piece of shit is who tried to hack and told Rod stuff . I don't know Rod so I will not comment on him but I have a lot of friends here and other boards and a lot of them were around the cigar BBs before me so I will not piss in their eye, and respect their opinions whether I agree or not. This issue about "Admin Access Attempts" is a concern to me anyway. However, I cannot advocate burning down Rod before all the facts are known.

I've been guilty of tunnel vision and jumping to conclusions in the past (thinking corona gigante was Scotty:smiley3: , wailing on CockyHoskins WAY more than was necessary,etc.) so my suggestion is that we wait and see.

I would like to see another explanation from Rod. He may chose not to offer Hex one and that's his choice. I for one would like to see more information before I draw any conclusions.

This is by no means a Rod witch hunt. I have no problem with Rod and appreciate what his forum has to offer to the online cigar community. I posted factual information that was present in the Cigarsmokers logs and tried to interpret it to the best of my abilities.

To be honest with you I would not have even given it a second look besides the fact that there is this whole underlining issue of private data from this forum making it into his hands without a proper explanation of where that information came from.

He says we have a snitch. Do we? Until someone comes forward and admits to giving Rod this content, or Rod steps up to the plate and truthfully states how this data made it to him, as an administrator I have no choice but to assume the worst.

Try to take a step back and look at it from my point of view. I get a rather nasty email from Rod containing information that he got from a private conversation which took place here. The same day things start showing up in the logs. I email him about it and get no response, what am I supposed to think? Everything is fine and dandy? Peachy even? I think not.

I don't want this to go any further then a good old fashioned honest response. That's all I've wanted from the beginning.

The bigger issue here, and this goes for all of the forums is this:

First and foremost, we are all BOTL. The cross-board competitions, pissing matches, etc. are unecessary. But sometimes, things happen at one that need to be brought up at others...

This whole thing is personal between those involved. It may be resolved, then again it might not. I'm pretty sure I know who the Judas is and he'll be dealt with accordingly as he is a member of many forums.....:smiley2:
