I just realized that you are probably going to have the Woodrow Wilson Brisdge, its the part of !-495 that is just west of Oxon Hill, as seen on mapquest. There is a lot of construction going on on that bridge and there is always a back up or substancial delay. I dont think it would be a problem if you are coming up middle of the day on 495, but a disaster if you are trying to do that during rush hour. One possible solution is to take I-395 into DC. Once you cross over the Potomac stay in the middle lane and Look to exit at South Capital Street (a Right) Take South Capital Street and go over a bridge(about a mile), and when you come to land on the other side of the river, you will be able to take I-295 south, or Suitland Parkway(exit 3a on 295) which will take you to Branch Ave/MD-5.Quote:

Sorry to bring this much confusion to the matter, but you want to avoid W.Wilson Bridge if possible. illilli, can you help me out on this, fellow MD'er:smiley25:
cabaiguan missed his.....jon...go back and read...i'm trying to bring the funny...
I just read it, LMFAO! I guess now I need to find a blue mu-mu now. If nothing else, everyone will know who I am! Everyone, look for the blue buoy in the middle of Shelley's smoking a cigar. Oh, wait the cigar doesn't help, does it?Quote:

Sorry.
Oh, but if I do, I'll be wearing tan shorts with some random t-shirt and a tan and blue cap. I'm 5'11" about 200lbs and wear glasses. I'll be the soberest one. I don't understand why I can't be allowed to follow the drinking laws of my own country..... ;)
OK Fish. Hope we'll see ya there
that's it... I'm going to dye my hair light brown/dark blonde and wear blue jeans and a polo shirt. i suggest we all wear blue jeans and polo shirts...Quote:

I jave a blue polo shirt I could wear...but it says ADT on it...and I doubt I'll have one left that doesn't smell like sawdust and sweat by friday. I'm not wearing work clothes on my evening off.
Are any of you guys gonna join us for the July NY HERF ?
NEWF might be a great reason to go an that bike ride :smiley2:
Dunno Dan. I haven't been following it. I have vacation starting July 29th and I have to be in New Brunswick by the 30th for dad's 70th B-Day.So it looks like I may have to take a miss!Quote:

Looks like I may get the day off after all. I need badly to get some errands done in the daytime, for example: my car is 4 days away from the expiry of my temp. plates. I bought this car solely for work, so they want it on the road. I am going to pester my manager/friend of 15 years :smiley2: and get the whole day off. YAY!
p.s. Next post is # 500.
Very seldom you see this set of words used with this phrasing. I have seen it go like this:Quote:

Congradualations!Quote:

Oh shit, that reminds me of something!
Contest time!!!
Well, probably for sure.:smiley2: My job doesn't really have set shifts, I'm just kinda expected to sit around and work whenever they text me a job. If they need me for installs tonight there's nothing I can do. But I told them I wanted to go to DC.
OMG! I just realized that my 11 year anniversary is today!
I won't be able to make it - CRAP! (I am all loaded up with Newfie's stuff and smokes here at work too!)
I am really sorry fellas but I TOTALLY forgot about this....s@#%, s@#%, s@#%!

It never works on TV, but I'm sure you could pull it off. After all, this is real life.Quote:

Pyro, using the old work excuse. For shame. Who's going to break into anything on a Friday night, no one is going to call ADT for security help on a Friday.
I get the call I have to go. My bosses get angry when I turn down work and there was nobody else to take the job. I finished up around 9:45-10:00 and thought about driving over, but I would have had to drive home first to find the address...:smiley9:
So...any crazy stories???
Newfi smoked a cigar with the largest ring gauge I've seen! We couldn't find a cutter that would handle it, almost had to grab a meat clever and a chopping block. He said it actually didn't taste too bad.Quote:

Newfi finally decided that American hospitality is too much for a person from C-eh, N-eh, D-eh, and had to head north toward the boarder, eh. Yeah, it got kind of wild.
Don't lie to me bitch, you'd never cut a cigar with a cleaver.
Sounds pretty average otherwise.

In no particular order, we have:
illilli

Cabiguan Juan
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...thers/Juan.jpg
mauied1101
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ers/Mauied.jpg
and last but not least, Da Newf (Hmmm, I think illilli and I use the same barber)
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ers/Newfie.jpg
We had an awesome time, although past 9:00 PM it did get very loud in the place and we almost had to yell across the table to be heard. The food was great, the smokes were spectacular (just too bad I didn't get a picture of the selection of smokes on the table) and the company was awesome.
Juan was the first in after me and we just kinda looked at each other a couple of times until he finally said "Jim .... Newfie??". I said yeah. He said the same thing happened when he first met Mauied.
I was looking at the pictures this morning and thought "Man, illilli and mauied just look wayyyyyyyyy too stressed!!!" Do you all agree? Juan and I each look like we're hurtin' ourselves trying to draw on the cigars!!
I felt a bit nervous when I first went in carrying about 30 sticks. Since they sell smokes there, I felt as if I was sneaking beer into a bar. Once everyone showed up, the smokes came out on the table and all was good.
I think I can class the first HERF I attended as a success. Too bad Mark and Fish couldn't make it due to other committments, but hopefully we can all meet again some day.
Time to get some work done.
Later.
Newfie (Jim)
