I asked the postal employee when mailing my package for the draft, and he told me that all postage, including priority, is affected by the rate hike. I found more information here. Although it doesn't mention shipping price increases, the postal employee said that flat rate would raise 20 cents.

edit: the nickname and the money are in a separate enveloppe mailed the same day. I realized when I got to work that I forgot to put that envellope in the box with the cigars :)

Hey everybody, Chris has been so kind to us for hosting this. Unfortunately, between the time he posted and now, DC rates have gone up to 4.75 for 1 pound packages. Now that means he's going to have to spend .15 cents extra on every package. That's like a whole two dollars. So, being that he is a stand up BOTL, I suggest we all pack up 15 pennies into envelopes each of us and send them on to Diesel. He really does deserve it :smiley15:
