Last night: Padron 3000
Gurkha Black Dragon presidente--didn't wow me--not sure if it was me or the cigar. Will try them again.
Gurkha Titan---Ok, but not great. Have a couple more to sample whenever I find them. Got another nice day coming tomorrow, maybe I can set aside an hour for another hopefully good smoke.
An Obsidian robusto. Maybe a bit strong for the morning, but it ended with some flavor. Good cigar-I have a couple more to try.
I took an assortment with me hunting and while there smoked:
- Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto
- Rocky Patel The Edge
- Padron 3000 Robusto
- Padron Series 1926
- RyJ Churchill
- My Father Le Bijou 1922
The Series 1926 was my celebratory, "I just got an elk" cigar
A Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild for breakfast.
A Hoya de Monterey Maduro this afternoon.
Nub 460 CT this afternoon. :smiley20: Nice flavor and draw-lasted 1:06. Yep, I nubbed it.
Finally found the time to smoke a cigar! The weather has been bad here in Eugene, but I figured I would celebrate the week and the sun with a nice aged Opus X.
Cinco Vegas Classic
This afternoon I tried a Vista De Cuba toro that I bought a couple of years ago. I've had them before as work cigars and thought they were pretty good, so I grabbed a lawn chair and fired one up. Very mild at first with subtle flavors, held a 2 inch ash (twice), got a bit stronger and more flavorful half way down and stayed that way. Decent construction, even burn and no major cons. I think I have 4 more and the only ones I found in a quick search were churchills at the T-place at a buck and a half each in a bundle of 20. Not a bad cigar at all- and since they were only a buck apiece, I wouldn't mind having a few more around.
I'm smoking every padron i have in the main humidor this weekend. :smiley20:
right now I'm working on a 45th anavery then i have lined up a 80th.
I usually smoke Romeo y Julieta at weekends...:smiley1: and I will try Montecristo -this the coming weekend..
I had a Monti New York blend (domestic) and generally I've been unmoved as of late with any domestic monti but this one was good. A little light for me but I've been smoking pepin almost exclusively for the last few months. My local shop (federal cigar) got a version of the Le Bijou that is a fantastic size (for me) link. Anyway, if you get a chance to try it, you can only buy them in NY, I'd give it a shot. I have another and am looking forward to smoking it.
Cuba Aliados.
I ordered a few box's from holts to use them for works smokes, but I'm really starting to like them.:smiley20:
La Aurora 107. Breakfast smoke while getting ready for night shift
This afternoon I fired up a Gurkha Evil toro. Very mild flavor until half way gone then it picked up a bit. Not a bad cigar, but not high up on the Gurkha list so far- I've got 4 more to test.
Had a Puros Indios Viejo. Just picked up a bundle of 20 for 25$.
Alec Bradley Black Market Robusto

Pinar Del Rio Habano sun grown liga cubana #5 robusto- big name, not a great smoke. Started a bit harsh with no flavor, but picked up a little flavor about 1/3 in. I think I smoked another PDR sun grown and also was unimpressed. I think I have more-maybe they will get better with age.
Opus X Perfecxion #4
Davidoff Special T
Ave Maria with my morning coffee while setting up the Bradley to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. Since I have to work Thanksgiving night I won't have time to do it that day, so I'm going to smoke it today and reheat on turkey day.
Don
Thinkin about smoking one of my little monsters, but which one???
Liga Privada #9
Not smoking enough these days, but I am enjoying a Bolivar Belicoso right now along side a single malt scotch :smiley37:
Hoyo toro- not great.
This morning, a Perdomo 10th Anny. criollo robusto with a couple mugs of some strong joe. Damn fine way to start the holiday season.
Gold Medal
Gurkha Centurian - very nice.:smiley20:
LFD double ligero chisel. Great smoke after too much food was consumed...let alone the amount of Aberlour.
Aberlour-nice drink ! Once it was my favorite single malt scotch.
My notable cigar today was a Gurkha Royal Brigade toro. No draw and still drew hard after drawpoking, some wrapper issues and a somewhat uneven burn, but still a good cigar with flavor bursting after about 2 inches. Hopefully the next one will have no issues.
Oliva Master Blend 3
Gurkha Empire Series V- nice smoke rather mild with a mild sweet flavor-smoked under chilly windy conditions with a little sun and a snow flurry.
Should make a nice after breakfast smoke-I'll try that on the next one.
Gurkha Empire Series III today. Maduro wrapper with large veins, drew well and burned even. Not any flavor to speak of until about 2' in, then only a mild flavor for the rest of the cigar. Not a bad smoke, but perhaps not as good as the #IV or V.
Do you have any actual tasty cigars ?
Opus X Perfexcion #4
