Carlos Torano 1959 Exodous ...had to see what all the hype was about. Man this was a tasty treat!
Afternoon: Arturo Fuentes Don Carlos #4
Early Evening: Bolivar '05 Robusto
Late Evening: Padron Anniversary Maduro '64 Torpedo with a very, very large glass of 10 year old Fonseca Tawny Port...
Edited: The morning after the night before syndrome...oh, wooo...was a tad out of it...sorry...
Sorry...threadjack over...

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990. Gotta say, I wasn't overwhelmed by the cigar. A good smoke, good construction, although the draw was a bit tight. Overall, probably an 85. I'd much rather smoke a Toraņo 1956 over a Patel Vintage.

Had a Sherpa something or other from a CI brownbag. Rather nice little smoke. Burned well, had a good flavor to it. Nothing I'd really write home about, but it provided a nice break from Home Theater Hell. (reorganizing all my entertainment electronics...ugh!)
Sorry about your loss, Neuro...
I hear the '92 is supposed to be better. The '90 is labeled to be a medium, whearas the '92 is supposed to be a medum-full. They use a completely different wrapper between the two (but you hafta give up on those 2 extra years of wrapper aging).Quote:

H. Upmann Cameroon. Nice even burn, easy draw...other than that I was unimpressed...pretty tasteless. :smiley21:
Being a newbie, I'm starting to really enjoy having a good flavored cigar like the Torano 1959 or the Padron 1926 #9 (recommended from a smoke shop I went to)
Taste is starting to become one of my #1's when smoking a stoag... :smiley20:

Montecristo #2
Something else but I forgot...

Padron 1964 Anniversary Maduro Imperial
Onyx Reserve Robusto
Rated "94" by Cigar Insider.
Heavy manure aroma. This is a very good thing. Must be the Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. A rich, medium-bodied smoke.
Somehow, I can't imagine seeing that in a CA review... :)Quote:

VERY nice little fingerburner! And damn near one of the prettiest cigars I've ever seen....
Last night I smoked a Victor Sinclair Series 55
Last night I had a Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real...great flavor, even draw...a relaxing night.
yesterday, perdomo 2 torfecto mad. and a Conn. by Rocky Patel
i almost replied "dude, those aren't flavored cigars." but then i realized it was just a funny wording.Quote:

Earthy, full-bodied, toasted with a hint of cocoa.
Good, but not a memorable smoke.
Fire petite corona at lunch
Gurkha regent class torpedo when I got home.
Romeo y Julieta. . . ot sure what kind :/ (it came naked from the box and was pretty small).
I had an incredible AF Royal Salute Sun Grown tonight . My first and what a great smoke . I have 2 more in storage - now all I have to do is find a couple more 2 hour time frames to enjoy them .
Padron 4000. Started off as one of the best inexpensive smokes I've had, lit better than the PAM '64's I've had. But, the last 1/3 exhibited such a harshness, it was like I was chewing the tobacco in my mouth. The first 2/3's were awesome though. I'll have to try a couple more before a box though, don't like to waste 1/3 a cigar.
10/11
Graycliff Espresso torp. I've had both this and the rob. Definitely like this one better.
10/12
Padron 5000 mad.
ERdM rob. oscuro these things just keep getting better in my humi.
H. Upmann Cristales No. 43--A nice inexpensive smoke with about 8 months in the Humi.
October 13th:
Saint Luis Rey Serie A
Rafael Gonzales Coronas Extra
Today is also State Senator Tony Guglielmo's birthday. He's my State Senator who I helped get elected in 1992 and a very close friend. Now I know y'all think most politicians are crooked or whatever but he's one of the guys who makes getting involved in politics worthwhile! :smiley20: He's as honest as the day is long and he's one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.
Reo torpedo
Arturo Fuente Exquisito (little baby cigar)

Macanudo Maduro
Cohiba Siglo III, been sitting in my my humidor for 3 years, started out mild but about an inch in exploded with stength and flavours of nuts and leather, kind of robust towards the last two inches. Acompanied by gentleman Jack out of a wine tube while walking the dogs.
Damn fine cigar and I nubbed it to the last half inch.
GC how was the Macanudo.
perdomo estate selection (old blend) aristocrat nat.
Sherpa Mystic Dos Capas, started out a tight draw, but is finishing nicely.
Padron Serie 1926 40th Anniversary (40 years) accompanied by a glass of Grand Marnier Cuvee du Cent Cinquantenaire (150th Anniversary)...incredible flavors both...
Edge maddie torp. :smiley37:

Had a Rocky Patel Connecticut this afternoon. It was WAY too mild for my personal taste, but it was GREAT for a mild smoke... I think it would make an awesome early morning smoke.
An Ashton that appeared to have a mild case of herpies. :smiley3:
I just finished a La Unica #400
Not bad if you like a light smoke, creamy, kinda like puffing a cloud.
would not buy again.
Just finished an Avo Domaine robusto. Pretty good, maybe a little over priced.
La Aurora 1903 Preferido Gold #2 w/corojo wrapper...great on taste but too mild...
Smoke one friday, way to mild form taste. So I would say way over priced. I didn't even finsh it, put it down and grabed a Edge Corojo. Much better and the price is right.Quote:
