That's a great looking dog man. congrats and a big high five for taking him in. :smiley32:
Kudos James
Very handsome dog. Dogs see so much with their sense of smell I am sure he operates just fine. I suspect his sense of smell is twice as good as a dog of his caliber with site. He would probably make a great cadaver dog for the police.
This is my dog... He's a bit insane. He's a powderpuff chinese crested (They're the really ugly dogs that have no hair, but they have two varieties, and one has hair, the other just seems a bit more infamous) He's a bit insane... He screams bloody murder anytime anyone comes home; also, he's a white dog... supposedly. He likes to play in the mud so much that I'm not really sure anymore. I went through a period of trying to keep him clean, but just gave up on it.
And that's me in the picture... with my hippy hair that you luckily can't see that much of, but it's cut off now... this whole growing up thing isn't what it's cracked up to be.
my wife has a powderpuff, she thinks shes a sight hound pretty much a one person dog she hates me
by the way welcome from Utah
Dustin
Chinese crested do tend to be a bit wacky... They're extremely in-bred because the breed is pretty rare. My parents breed them and our stud is actually the great-uncle of the female, but that's acceptable within chinese cresteds. If you look at the akc standard for the breed, the hairless variety have no standard for teeth! They have a tendency to grow out at weird angles, or just not even be there. The mother of the guy in the picture has neither of her top two canines. Try playing it with it, though, as insane as it is. They grow to like you after a while; my dad's dog hated me for the longest time until I forced it to play with me :smiley36:
This is our Heidee dog. Got her from the SPCA about 4 years ago. Lately, she's showing her age:smiley24::smiley6:

CC both of your kitties look like they have real attitudes! My kitty does too!:smiley36:
Figured I'd bump this and include a pic of Buddy, my boxer/pit mix. Buddy is my favorite smoking partner. He never bitches about what I want to smoke and always trys to lap up the smoke as I exhale.
I heard about pets last night in chat lets see them! I see buddy alread made the thread. BW you have to add your new kitten here. I think Smoked had a few pics too.

My avatar is my buddy Stanley.....he's 8 yrs. old, and was following the mail man around our neighborhood when he was just about 3 mths old.
We rescued Riley in March of '08, when she looked like this:
(yep, I'm camera challenged.....I just figured out how to change the date last week)

Now, we get looks of contempt from both of them if we disturb their naps to take annoying photo's.

This is Helga. Or HELLga if you prefer. She is about 18 years old. The dirty little bugger likes to eat dog rockets. Ewwwww. Wiener Dogs are troublemakers for sure!

This is Sniffles. That is short for the "sniffling snot dog". When we got him he sneezed all over my wife's bare feet. I guess the name would be obvious. Sniffles is a Pomeranian corgi mix. He is almost spot on like an American Eskimo, except he has tan fur and not white fur and a brown nose verses a black one like the Eskimo. He is also in the 18 to 19 year old category. Both Helga and Sniffles were rescue dogs. We have had them both for about 12 years now.
Nice pictures everyone! It's fun to see people's pets.
Roger - My favorite dog was from the humane society. Very nice of you to adopt a couple of unwanteds.
Let's bring this one back again! These are our dogs, Barkley's on the right and Rosie's on the left. Both from different shelters, Barkley is a German Shorthair mix and Rosie seems to be a mix of a lot of different fluffy breeds(and shes more like a thorn than a rose IMO)
Wanted to bump this thread and introduce to you all our baby girl, Mocca.
Here she is watching 24 with me the other night:

I have another female Saint, her name is Eleanor Rigby. She was a rescue. She was 6 years old, covered in fleas, had a very thin coat, and was 85 lbs. when we got her. She is now 9 years old, zero fleas, beautiful coat, and 125 lbs. This is her with our new Australian Sheppard mix/mut named Booker.

The following two pics are Ashes. We had to say goodbye to him in June of 2010. He was 14 and suddenly took ill. He was my wife's oldest, bestest friend when we got together 10 years ago. He was the most unique and smartest dog I've ever known and he's sadly missed. He was a "mutt" in the truest meaning of the word. We figure he had some French Bulldog in him and some Pug. Possibly a bit of Schnauzer and God only knows what all else. A year after Ashes passed we picked up Emma who was 5 at the time. It just felt odd with only the two dogs.
