So I had a PM exchange with Dickson and he's agreed to stay in the pass. And I've got to say CgarDan's lack of enthusiasm has been subtle - so, with a couple nods - you're in the pass - but I'm gonna squeeze ya between BKC and NH for safe keeping. :smiley2:

I just came home from "O"Town. What an insane place. Every time I go back to my hometown, I am amazed that I am still alive today. The pics are from the Union Station and 25th Street. I recall many a fist fight in these parts. Oh, the good old days where you could get your ass kicked and still look good a couple days later: A little cut and pasted verbiage on the history--
Although Ogden began in 1850 as a religious Mormon community, with the completion of the Union Station the world came into Ogden. On 25th Street, near the train station, one could witness gambling, prostitution, narcotics sales, robbery, rape, and even murder. Ogden grew and became a rough city. Crime boss Al Capone commented in the 1920s that Ogden was too wild a town for him.

No points for being stupid. ;)Quote:

Edited to add: Pass is on its way to Roham via Global Priority.
OK, I see the package is on it's way to Roham, then Drew and then on to me. On July the 29th, I'm on my way to Moncton, New Brunswick to spend a few days with my dad for his 70th birthday. I'll be back in town Saturday, August 05th.
Depending on what happens, it may get to me before vacation, but it may not. I'd like to stay in the pass, but if there's a week delay due to my absence and anyone has an issue with that, I will back out rather than have this box travel back and forth across the border. If I stay in, it would probably work best if Drew put it in the mail to me on July 31st. That way it'll be here waiting for me when I return, and I can get it mailed from Detroit to BKC on August 07th and he'd have it by the 10th.
What say ye??
I have no issues with that.Quote:

Ye says sounds good :smiley20:
I'd be pretty impressed with Canadian Post if it gets it to Roham and Drew in that time frame. And how the heck are you gonna be able to get it to BKC in three days? With your Post, that's just crazy talk :smiley4:
Any bets on??:smiley8:Quote:

cross the border and ship it in a USPS box would have to be my guess... otherwise, him hopping on his bike and dropping it off at BKC in person :smiley1:
Hhmmmmmmmmmmmm, now there's an interesting idea!!!Quote:

GOOD! I was starting to worry...
Well, this may work in my favour!
In my mind, here's how I see it going:
Roham keeps it for the weekend, mails it to Drew on Monday.
Canada post sends the box to Edmonton, Montreal, Regina, St. Johns NF, Halifax and then to the great Metropolis of Biggar SK by Friday of next week.
Drew keeps it for the weekend and mails it to me Monday the 31st.
Canada Post sends it to Moncton NB, Vancouver, some shithole in the Yukon, Windsor ON, Calgary, yadda, yadda.
Then it's to me the day before I get back from vacation.
Life is good.
Ok guys, I took the La Aurora Corojo Gold Tubo and put in a Montecristo #2. I then took the San Cristobal de la Habana La Fuerza and put in a Partagas P2. I also threw in a Jose L Piedra Brevas, it is just sitting loose amongst the other cigars. If all is approved I will send out the cigars on Monday! Hopefully I can get the pictures I want tomorrow or maybe I take them monday before I send it off.
The SC/P2 trade looks good. I think the LA Tubo might be a couple bucks more than the #2 (if it is a domestic - if it's ISOM then heck, it's a #2!). Anyone any thoughts?Quote:

Ye VA pass folk,
A couple things I'd like to ask for your assistance - and this is in general - if folks could specify which sticks are ISOM (otherwise, assume domestic) and if everyone could specify not only the takes and puts, but also the number of the takes/puts, i.e.:
Take 6. Padron Anniversario Imperial put 27. La Aurora Corojo Gold Tubo (assuming the new numbers are the ones written on the baggies)
Would greatly appreciate it - that'd help me and those after y'all with the organization.
Thanks :smiley2:
Do they make a Montecristo #2 domestic? Or a Partagas P2? I'm pretty sure they are ISOM only. They make Partagas and Montecristo, but not the #2 and the P2, eh? Anyways, All THREE smokes are ISOM, so then the put/takes suffice?:smiley1::smiley25:
yeah, I've had a domestic #2 before but you're right - I haven't heard of a P2 dom. P/Ts look great. How 'about some assignment numbers, pics, and fire away!
I wasn't able to get the pics today(sunday) but I should have time to get it done tomorrow and still have it out by the end of the day. I'll check back soon:smiley20: :smiley1:
This is a pic of a statue downtown Calgary. I thought about taking a picture of it for the original pass but since the camera is ruined I retook it for this pass. I have seen this statue, and hung around it my whole life, and I never once noticed, until I went to take the picture, that he is smoking a CIGAR while he is playing chess!!! And the plaque says the statue's name is "winner". Sounds like a winner to me!!:smiley20: It looks like he was built to hold the cigars i put in his hand! I don't know why I decided to take a picture of this particular statue but it's funny how things work out sometimes, eh?:smiley36:

This next picture is of the Calgary Tower(www.calgarytower.com). I took it by setting the camera down on the cement at the base of the tower, and holding my cigars in the line of fire. Nice effect eh?:smiley36: :smiley20: You can see the glass observation deck they installed this year just to the left of the cigars. It allows you to stand on a glass floor and look straight down at the road bellow! I hope you guys enjoy!
http://members.shaw.ca/roham/pic/cigarcalgarytower.jpg
And that completes my portion of the pass!
Drew! Heads up! Something's coming your way! I'll have it sent out Tuesday morning on my way to work.
Great pics Roham! The statue holding the cigars is a nice touch.
sweet pics Roham! I agree with WOXOF - the statue with sticks is a nice touch. :smiley4:
Can you post the numbers/trades so I can update the first page? That'd be appreciated. :smiley20:
We're aboot half way on the pass eh?
That statue is a great pic!
Very cool.

Well guys, it's official (almost). In 1 hour 20 minutes I'm on vacation until August the 8th. The box is between Roham and Drew right now so the timing is pretty good for the package to either be waiting when I get home, or to arrive with-in a day or two of me getting home.
I just wanted to post here saying I may or may not have access to a 'puter during my vacation, but to go ahead and send it my way. I'm ready to accept my first pass!!!:smiley32:
Have a good vacation man. Smoke a few nice ones for the rest of us. :smiley41:
