I second that, I'll be buying my second box very soon. Tonight I had a Sancho Panza Double Maduro, another cheap but good maddie.Quote:

Oliva Masterblend 1 torpedo...very tastey.
Today was a 5 smoke day, I was able to lounge around for th most part and enjoy a few cigars.
1st Caffe Tabac by K. Hansotia (I know it was flavored and not very good, I payed for it)
2nd Carlos Torano Signature Collection (Very good a nice reward for not finishing the Caffe)
3rd Maria Mancini (very good I liked this one) not the Magic Mountain
4th La Perla Mduro (I enjoyed this one as well)
5th Cusano 18 Double Connecticut--this one was a real shocker for me, before I lit it I took a couple of draws and flinched from the bitterness. After I lit it from the first drwa all the way to the nub I liked it. Very smooth and not too heavy on the strength. This was a good mild with a hint of medium towards the end.
A friend from Minnesota sent me a 10 pk sampler of the CI Legend series. Last night, I fired up one of the red lablels (Perdomo blend). A nicely constructed Torpedo loaded with tons of earthy flavor. It was on the stronger side of medium, but mellowed halfway through. Interesting cigar and a great value for $3.
Thursday
Cielo, gifted to me. Very good cigar - kept the label and will look for these.
Friday
AF Cuban Belicoso SG - I really like these except my B&M charges nearly $2 over MSRP the bastards
Last night
Monte #2 ok, this is an excellent cigar. But, for me it just doesn't deliver the flavor some of its island cousins do. I know, sounds like blasphemy, but there it is. Would I get them again? Hell yes. Given a choice between them and P2 or SP beli's? I'd have to go with latter 2.
Had a Gurkha Beast last night, and then today i had a Regant and Sympthony. All were amazing cigars.
Smoked my first Opus X in the park. I can see why people spend what they do on them, cause it was certainly good, and the first smoke I actually nubbed.
Thursday
La Perla Black Pearl. nice stick.
Non ISOM H. Upmann lonsdale (from the PIF brotherhood i think, must start keeping records). Quite pleasant but v mild.
Oliva Grand Cameroon :smiley20:
I tried my first Opus X fuente fuente I will have to say it was a great smoke
Good smoke. I liked it almost as much as a Hoyo de Monterrey in a dark Sumatra wrapper. Almost.
From my newbie perspective-- this beat the hell out of Punch, Upmann, RyJ and most of the others I've tried so far in the past two weeks.
So far, I like the Maduro wrapper smokes best.
Any suggestions from you experts ?
Monday night; AF Anejo #49 great smoke, as usual.
Tuesday night; Padron 1926 #9 maddie Also a great smoke.
It was a good week. I was at the beach camping with my family all weekend and had a few sticks with me.
Opus X Robusto
Carlos Torano 1959 Exodus
Pedromo Reserva Series P
It was a good week.
I had a Partagas Aristocrat ISOM last night as well as a Perdomo Reserve Cabinet series. Both very good.:smiley20:
CT Casa Torano, I still haven't had a CT I didn't enjoy.
I sat on my back porch thinking of how good it is to be able to enjoy a good cigar and watch the sun set. This was first CT Exodus 1959 Perfecto and it wont be my last it was a wonderful cigar.
Punch Punch from 2003...Started off rather mild and built up to a real butt kicker. :smiley20:
Last night
Cohiba red dot mad. Decided to splurge and these were fresh in the store. Nice flavor, a few change ups. On the light side of medium in strength. I won't get anymore - there are better cigars for the money. e.g., 26's, 64's, Padilla 811 (IMO), Tataje.
RyJ Bully that seems to have improved a lot since I bought them last easter.
VSG Tres Mustuque watching the sun slowly go down :smiley20:
Grabbed an old favorite from the humidor, paragas black lable. First smoke I'v had in probably two months.
Yesterday afternoon, Rocky Patel Edge Corojo:smiley41:
A few moments ago, Cuesta-Rey Centenario:smiley41:
Sunday night / Monday morning - Partagas SD4 in celebration of my poker tourney win. :smiley37:
Received a new shipment and had to try a couple...
Macoba Minis (vanilla flavor from Germany) - not bad. Kind of like smoking a filterless cigarette, though.
CAO Moontrance (Dominican Rep.) - much better than the above. I'm not crazy about flavored smokes but I could suffer through one of these occasionally. Helix Remix are still my favorite in the flavored line (amoretto).
Leter in the day I smoked a Manuel (Manolo) Quesada (Matasa?) -- one of those overrun deals from Cig. Intl. -- Very smooth Conn. wrapper, definitely a keeper and I wish I had bought more than one box. When I opened the box this afternoon I noticed bloom - not mold- on every stick. First time I've seen that...
Oh well, lots of different smokes to try yet.
Last night it was an unbanded pyramid - not sure of the origin, but it was a fantastic cigar (a gift from a BOTL). Afterwards I had an Opus X Petit Lancero. VERY NICE! Paired the two up with a Maredsous Triple 10 Belgian Ale!!! :smiley37:
I started out the day with a RyJ Cazadores from June/July 05. Its a nice power house and unmatched in strength my any cigar of that nature. Sure made my day. But I received a bomb from a guy I am doing a box split with him and one of the smokes he sent was a Moontrance. I knew it was gonna be a horrible experience but smoked 1/2 of it anyways. Tossed it and lit up a 3yo SLR A which made up for it. A few others will go down tonight but havent decided what after 3 boxes of Opus X landed at my door today. :smiley37:
vegas de fonseca #10
Black Pearl Rojo Toro:smiley37:
Saturday - Carlos Torano Virtuoso (it was ok), Sunday - Carlos Torano Casa Torano toro (great), Monday - Gran Habano Habano (cuban seed and it was, ok), Tuesday - Af Petit Corona, today - Camacho Coyolar toro.
Last night I had my remaining God of Fire, the Don Carlos size. I was saving it for a special occasion (not decided on) but since I'm unemployed my stash is waning. I figured hell, I want a good cigar tonight and this guy is just sitting here...why not? A bit stronger than I've been smoking lately, but that just made me slow down a bit, which is a good thing. I can powerpuff at times. :smiley14:
With all the VSG talk in the recent poll thread, I had to have one. Smoke a torpedo tonight and did not want to put it out. I was out of Dr. Pepper so the VSG was enjoyed with one of those new Pepsi "Jazz" concoctions. Not a bad soda at all..
Dontcha' just love newbies? I know every day I claim to have a new favorite. Well, today is no different. I had another of those sh*tty Macoba (succeeded in giving away two boxes of them, too -- hurray!), another Moontrance (only 6 left), another Upmann (so-so) and THEN I had a Reserva Maxima Corona by Puros Indios. Yum. :smiley27:
What will tomorrow bring? I've been wanting to try one of my Perdomo's. Perhaps...
Who says ya just gotta have one?:smiley36: :smiley20:
Because I only have two of them! I have to mix things up a little and play with ALL my new toys :smiley2:
BTW, I'm wishing I had made a coolerdor first thing. My humi runneth over...
