REO Churchill. Very nice cigar I believe this is a Rocky Patel spin-off :smiley20:

I finally got around to smoking this Camacho SLR Maduro that's been resting in my humidor. I was going to gift it to someone on this board (actually, a trade so that you know who you are) but it looked so damn GOOD. And it was... :smiley2:
Sorry, man; it was calling out to me in my moment of weakness.
10/3 Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales. It creeped into my top 5.
10/4 Monte #4
Tonight, Sancho Panza dbl Maduro Cervantes while taking a walk with the wife and son. :smiley4:
After lunch a PAM Imperial
Just lit a Cohiba Sublime
Had a Hemmingway Signature maduro this afternoon. Then went outside with a Don Carlos Double Robusto and a Double Chateau Fuente maduro. Had the Don Carlos first, then went to my friends place and had the DCF. Today was a good day
another CAO brazillia Gol around the fire with some friends. I just cant get enough of these.
Monte #4
Just finished a Fuente Short Story after lunch (compliements of Shelby07 and the b'day club). Thanks man! It was great as usual...
Just waiting for my new cutter in the mail so I can fire up a Nov 05 RASS.
I had an LFD L300. It was not what I expected but I liked it alot. I thought the ligero would make it really full bodied, but it wasn't. A little veiny. A bit spicy, slight sweetness, nice leather, fruit. Perfect burn. Felt like a dowel rod in my hand. A bit of a hard draw, but I forgive that for the perfect burn and not too hot at the nub. Only ashed it twice.
To be honest, I read about someone else smoking one around here, and I was mystified by the acronym. Did a search, and found out it was a La Flor Dominica Ligero. :smiley23: I know, waddanewb. Anyway, the car made a right turn all by itself, straight to the B&M on the way back to the office from lunch, and they were right there next to the HDMs. :smiley20:
Just taking the last puff on the nub of a AF Anejo #48
Damn, burned my fingers! :smiley17:
H Upman Corona Junior (tubos) and a Carlos Torano perfecto.
The first was suprisingly good considering that I picked it up in a supermarket on the spur of the moment. Plenty of spice.
I didnt have any major burn problems with the CT, which some others have reported, and thouroughly enjoyed it.
My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary together today with a big party for immediate family. We have only been married 13 of those years, but we started dating back in high school in 1986. What a blast of a time we all had. I smoked 3 cigars with matching sets going to my dad, father in-law, brother and bro in-law. Started the afternoon with a round of Fuente Best Sellers, then moved to Padron 1964 Anniversary Maduro Torpedos(since it was an Anniversary...). The grand finale was a round of Matasa 30th Anniversary Perfectos. Amazing smoke.:smiley20:
Oh and the Misses and my Mother joined in and smoked some CAO Bella Vanillas. I will have to slowly work on converting them to good cigars.
Tonight I had a Rocky Patel Sun Grown it wasn't quite as smooth as I was expecting when I first lit it up but I guess I might be slightly spoiled by the Vintages. I enjoyed it overall nice steady even burn good taste but still definitely not a '90 or '92 Vintage
Monte #2 with a couple of glasses of shiraz in the garden. Major performer with masses of creamy smoke, when you get a good one I really believe that the #2 is unbeatable.
Padilla Miami 8 & 11 ----- not bad but not worth the price INMHO
Later last night I ended up firing a 2nd smoke which I don't do that often. When I was at Corona Cigar Bar looking for their Rocky Edge 2nds one of the guys suggested that I try an Omar Ortez Original because it was similar to the Edge. I have to say :smiley20: I was not let down at all.
Very nice even smoke all the way through but it did get almost to rich/heavy at the very end. If you like the Edge I'd definitely suggest trying these. I might have to pick a couple more up.

Construction was nice, rolled for a perfect pull. Wrapper had a few large veins but had a pleasant taste and scent. Cigar lit perfectly first few pulls although not unpleasnant tasting nothing spectacular. Burn was perfect nice white tight ash that had to be knocked off. First 1/2 inch of the cigar was an average tasting mild/medium smoke.
By the time I got to the meat of the cigar a wonderful flavor was developing. It was becoming a nice full body tasting smoke that continued to get stronger and more flavorful. Cigar never got peppery or hot but finished off strong and very tasty. Ash stayed white and tight the whole way. All and all not a bad stick for $7 at local cigar store and about $5 online.
Scotch as always was quite tasty smokey and smooth with a pleasant after taste.
Entertainment was average at best. Go Pats !!
Smoked an Ancient Warrior last night. I liked it, but seemed to taste a little dry.
Sunday tried something different - a Kuba. Suprised that it was good. Different. Wifey liked it. Daughter liked it too.
Night before that tried a Root (ok, it was a party and Drew was the featured maker). This was kind of sweet, not sure if flavored or not, uh, interesting. Then a Camacho corojo figurado.
just finished a Graycliff Crystal, now its off to school
RyJ Bully last night, quite pleasant.

Summary
Very good looking, well constructed cigar. Lit very nicely with and exceptional draw. First 1/3 was tasty and medium strength. Meat of the cigar developed very nice mediun to full body taste, somewhat creamy. Wonderful finish strong and flavorful. Could have used a rouch clip. Burned evenly the whole smoke. Never had to relight. Nice tight white ash, lasted about 2 1/2 periods. Overall a very pleasant smoke.
Wine was very good
Great game. Why, because the Bruins won
Last night, Padron 4000 Maduro and a bottle of Riesling Wine with the GF.
I was quite pleased with the draw and the flavor. I don't know if it was the cigar that was buzzing me or the wine, but I had a good buzz at the end of the evening.
I have a La Gloria Churchill Maduro lined up next.
RASCC, I love 'em.
sunday had a Casa Torano with a friend, his sister, and her room mates down in Tenesee. It was a very nice smoke
Well, I'm feeling pretty darn special tonight. Kind of like I just got lucky.
Don't laugh! It could happen.
A BOTL sent me an ISOM; a Monte Edmundo a few weeks ago. I fired it up this evening and -- it was good.
But I've had better.
Did I smoke the whole damn thing? You betcha. And I'd do it again. :smiley2:
"Breakin the law, breakin' the law..."
Today you are a man! :smiley20:
You're right. There are better, but they are pretty damn good, aint they?
Started a RP Old World Reserve, but it was plugged beyond salvage.
Just fired up a PAM Imperial
Had a Puros Indios last night. I liked it. A little mild. Tonight I feel like sumpin stronger.
Watched the Bears dress down the 49ers (that hurt, because Mike Singletery is their assistant head coach) while smoking a Ashton VSG Pyramid. Finished with an '03 Cohiba Sig IV (love that corona size). Paired them up with a coupla snifters of El Jimador Anejo Tequila... :smiley37:
Nice afternoon of smokes. :smiley20:
Casa Fuente Beli Finos with a little more than a year of age on it. Great, but not worth twice as much as an Opus.
Camacho SLR:smiley20:
Smoked an Ashton VSG Corona Gorda while watching the Cowboys beat the Panthers. Romo did OK for his first start.
Celebrated after the game with a Cohiba Sublime EL.
I'll enjoy watching Chicago crush the Giants next week. :smiley20:
