All in all, it was a good day of smoking. I started in the morning by going to the "yet to try" cigar stash and headed out to shovel the snow. I am not an Puros Indios fan really, but I smoked the Maxima Reserva petite corona and ended up nubbing it. Good little smoke.
After lunch I enjoyed a CT Exodus 59 Torp (Thanks, Hefty)!
Went to the in-laws for a holiday prime rib dinner and busted out an Anejo #50 afterwards with an almond creme soda. That sucker was packed with so much fermented goodness, I had a hard time saying goodbye.:smiley20:
A Cuba Aliados candela for breakfast (ho hum) and a CAO Extreme for dinner. I liked the CAO, but it was not as comples as touted. Good smoke though.
yesterday I had a Trilogy Authentic Corojo Torp. Had some burn problems, but i was preoccupied.
This weekend I had a cigar from Cigar Factory New Orleans on Bourbon, while on a trip down there. I had the Vieux Carre Cafe. They told me it had been rolled at least two weeks ago and that the tobacco was aged several months, so I lit it up in the store.
The smoke was very flavorful and peppery. The burn was great, but the stick had a tight draw. Overall, a very enjoyable cigar! I have a couple Plantation Reserve Churchills that have been sitting in a humi for a while and Im excited to taste. One of em is in Chris' humidor, so it's probably lost in the convenient store he calls his home.
I watched a guy roll a cigar in front of me in the store, pretty cool. Here is the link, they do mail orders: http://www.cigarfactoryneworleans.com/
i prefer to call it an apartmidor.
Over the last couple of days,
MATASA 30th Anny.
Vibe Corojo corona (Thanks Dan)
5 Vegas "A" Artisan
Fittipaldi churchill (Thanks Sid)
Gurkha Class Regent toro after lunch, and a Padron 1926 #1 maddie after dinner.
Had a 5 Vegas Classic corona on the way to work this morning. It was my first 5 Vegas (thanks Quint) and I enjoyed it !!:smiley1:
I had a 5 Vegas last night too. I had the fat toro, whatever it's called. It's like 6x58. It was not pretty under the cedar, but pretty tasty.
last nite I had a Signature Collection Torpedo that was gifted to me, while my friend had a Casino Gold. :smiley36:

It was cold and wet outside and I didn't get out of the gym till B&M was almost closed, so I just enjoyed the rain and skipped the cigar.
:smiley3: Skipped the cigar...
Awright you can quit rubbing it in. I feel stupid for paying the monthly bill, and not going to the gym. It's been over 3 months. :smiley5: Gotta make it a priority again. I'll go back... right after the holidays.... :smiley24:

Had me an JDN Antano Consul last night. The little rob. I thought it would be a short little 30 minute smoke, it lasted almost an hour, and almost kicked my ass. Needed a couple of shots of bourbon (DT brand) to get my equilibrium back. :smiley41::smiley37::smiley29::smiley1:
Ahh holidays...
I've been in a wine tasting mode. Been sipping on various brands while smoking cigars to bring in the night.
Out of the last few nights the best pairing has been Yellowtail Merlot/Cab with a Por Larranaga petit corona. The cigar exploded with the wine. Awesome smoke.
Tonight I'm trying some Yellowtail Pinot Noir with a Cohiba Siglo IV if the weather acts right. Pending the weather as well is my grill. Grilled burgers sounds really good too.
yesterday smoked a sancho panza dbl md for lunch and a CI Red Label last nite.
oh my goodness. i'm smoking my first Ghurka Regent Nepalese Warrior. I've had four sitting in the humi for a while. oh my goodness. i love this cigar. i've got 3 more in the cooler and a 5 pack on the way. I'm so excited. I believe this might be a new favorite. :smiley4:
I felt the same way when I first tried it a few weeks ago. I'm glad I purchased 20 of those bad boys.
Yesterday, I had a Indian Tabac Maduro - Teepee. IT WAS AMAZING! Nice medium-bodied smoke. Enjoyed it with my coffee. Definitely gonna have to be a permanent in my rotation!
Thursday I had a CAO Mx2 robusto. I am quite fond of this smoke for some reason. I cannot yet pick out flavors, but I do enjoy the taste and the large amount of creamy smoke. It also will last quite a while.
Last night I had an AF Rothschild. It was spicy, but good.
Yesterday
PSP2 on a long drive. Very, very nice.
Today
Padron 3K mad. Straight up good cigar.
CAO Italia-good like the BRazilia better
WOAM-good, not as good as I thought it would be but still VERY good and way better than the Italia
DK Brown-good, probably even better if I did not precede it with the WOAM.
All in all and pretty flavorful day.
Had a Rocky Patel Signature Toro today. It was a good smoke. The construction was about perfect, no flaws in the wrapper and perfect draw. It had an even burn and held ash well. The cigar is a Medium cigar with a natural wrapper but does pack a punch, as I got a little head rush (though I don't smoke that often, and I hadn't eaten anything for a while). Anyway it was a great cigar and I would recomend it.
I just lit up a Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Churchill. I smoked one last night and thought it was excellent. Well constructed, perfect even burn, and great taste.
I enjoyed a J.L. Salazar Toro from their Reserva Espesial sampler (along with a glass of Evan Williams Single Barrel bourbon, neat) while grilling pork chops on the deck. We don't get many opportunities in Indianapolis to grill and smoke at the end of December, so I had to take advantage of the 50f weather.
Nice even burn all the way down with a firm ash. The flavor changed a bit in the middle, but it was fairly full bodied til the end. I enjoyed this cigar!
We just drove through Indianapolis today. It was a nice day.
I had a JdN Antano tonight, and damned if it wasn't plugged. First plugged one I've had. Bummer.
I wanted to go to a distillery when we were in Kentucky, but didn't make it. I'll drink some Makers tonight instead. :smiley2:
Reyes Reserve - Gold. Came from CgrDan. It was quite enjoyable. Do they still make these? I was hoping to get more.
Last nite, Saint Luis Rey and a 5 Vegas Gold Torp.
I smoked 2 because JoeBlow wussed out at the beginning of his.
-_-
I had a hankering for some of my more aged cigars.
Yesterday afternoon I had a Anejo Reserva #55 torpedo. Then that night I celebrated my the birth of my uncles new child by lighting up a "It's A Boy".........hahaha just kidding. I actually lit up a Opus X Perfection X with a lobster tail and filet, while i gave my uncle and his older son a Ashton VSG Wizard with their lobster and filets!!!! What a great night.
Then after lunch i had a Ashton ESG that was quite tasty
A. Fuente 858 Maduro, IT Maduro, and a 5 vegas (red) churchill
ya, i had nothing better to do.
I had ... number 1. Whew it was a doozie, but I liked it alot. :smiley29: :smiley1: More later on the review these thread.
Over the last week nothing more than a couple of cohiba minis, as I spent all my time keeping the family happy. This evening a Monte Edmundo, tis good and no mistake.
Party SP2
Gurkha Vintage. Wow, very good smoke!
DK brown...uneven burn like woah!
Last nite me and Chris (JoeBlow) grilled some T Bones and I enjoyed a Carlos Torano 1916 while he smoked a 5 Vegas. Excellent steaks, very nice smokes. It was my first 1916 and I enjoyed it.
Today I had a Padron 2000M-Didn't care for it much at all
Yesterday I had a Monte White #2-Didn't finish it or care for it much either.
Montecruz. Pretty good. Full side of Medium to me.
Thanks Barry!
