I actaully gotta do something with the thing. Long story as how I got the thing, but it comes down to my brother giving it to me cause his wife didn't want it in the house and he didn't wanna just let it out somewhere or kill it. I could get a pet snake and house them in the same aquariam:smiley3:

Hopefully this little guy won't be a frequent visitor to my home. He can hang around outside and eat the mice. My son wanted to cut his head off (or at least cut him in half) with a pair of tree loppers.. poor thing. Do you know what type of a snakle that is? I had no idea there are snakes in the middle of Tampa.

That looks like what we call in Central Texas a Black Racer, or, a Coachwhip.

I used to live in Orlando and was always running over the damned things with the lawn mower. Made quite a racket before they came out in several pieces. They are black snakes, the non poisonus garden variety.

There were also lots of diamondbacks (rattlers) and coral snakes out there. They are not pleasant.

I used to catch black racers all the time when I was younger. Feisty little suckers. I actually wanted to be a herpetologist for awhile. :smiley29:
