Heads up, James. DC# 03080070000016960310
Sig tag has been sent. This is so much fun.
There's still plenty of time to get in on the fun. Read the rules in the first post of this thread, post your desire to participate, then PM me with your address!
Can you send it back to me now? This prize pack is amazing.
Not so sure. I think this prize pack will keep growing. Got the package today- everything looks great. The puro is in the Robusto size range. Wrapper initially stands out as Cuban. If it were a Nicaraguan, the color would be somewhere between an Illisione and a Cabaguan. Dominican would be my next guess based on appearance alone. The flavor profile would fall somewhere between those two (Illlisione and Cabaguan) as well. Triple cap too. The cigar is firm and veiny. No real prelight aroma (maybe hay). Nice prelight draw and super good/straight burn with a light gray ash. Flavor was an initial blast of wonderful spice. 1/3 to midway, became milder with hints of leather, then returning to spice. I would put this at medium in body and medium complex in flavor. I want to go Nicaraguan due to that initial and finishing spice, but I am going to surrender to the same guess as Rich's last attempt and go CUBAN? Regardless, hell of a good cigar. Thanks for sharing!!!
Either bring on the silly sig tag or give me the green light to smoke this God of Fire...
Doh! I did not even stop to think Opus X because from the first post, I assumed this had to be a cigar in the $5 range. The Opus is double that and more ($12 MSRP). I should have know what I was smoking with the Opus :smiley6:.
My puts are:
One naked puro (in the $5 range)
CAO Sopranos Boss
Alec Bradley Tempus Quadrum
Camacho CLE Limited Ed. (unreleased Signature blend)
Unless anyone objects to any of my puts, I should be able to get this all repackaged and hit the PO tomorrow or Saturday...
I'm not sure I know of any Cubans in the 5 dollar range.
Eville, I know of plenty solid Cubans in the $5-$8 range. Honestly, that is the price range I thought I was smoking. There are more Cubans in that range than good Dominicans and the Opus is a good Dominican along with Davidoff etc., but those run much higher. Yet, I did not think that high and automatically excluded those. Sorry if I sound like a sore looser. That is not the case. However, I feel the rules should be revised to say $5 and up, or not to exceed $xx instead of stating needs to be around the $5 mark if we are going to play this way. To double that and a half is a huge swing.
Im ready :smiley4:
I sent My information to slcraiders the other day.
Yep, no foul play implied. I was just thrown off a bit. I had fun smoking that cigar and trying to figure out where it came from. That is what matters. I am also excited for whoever wins this prize pack. It has grown into something pretty special.
Love the new sig tag. Reminds me of the first time I smoked a full/full cigar on an empty stomach.
Mangyrat- these will fly out by Saturday...
I took the $5 mark as a minimum. Sorry for the confusion I have caused.
Lofan37 that looks like it would hurt :smiley3: maybe its time to lay off the refried beens and boiled eggs :smiley34:
Holy Crap! That flame nearly went through my screen and burnt my eyebrows!
Are you having a little too much fun Mark? lol
You are too good with the sig tags...my comment was meant tongue in cheek.
I am kinda glad I got to go first, it looks like he went easy on my tag :smiley36:
Keith
No sweat man. It was open for interpretation as previously written and I completely understand. I thank you for sending me that nice Opus X to smoke:smiley20:
LMFAO!!! That's how I feel after my review as well. I just got the hot head sig tag instead of the hot ass one. Thanks mrtr33 for sparing me on the sig tag...:smiley4:
I'll smoke mine this weekend sometime and make a review thread for it. I can think of several other cigars I would have liked to have bought for that price, but the picture on cigar monster was of a 5-pack and I was way to inebriated to be bothered with the actual item description.:smiley11:
Outgoing today- USPS DC# 9405 5036 9930 0206 7656 89
Ill be sure to post up when it arrives :smiley20:
We have the same problem. I also buy all my cigars from C-bid & Monster piss drunk off my ass at night. By the next day I have no fucking Idea what I've purchased. I bought some real fucking winners drunk. ie: Royal Jamacian, Macanoodles, and half a dozen other shit sticks while drunk. I think I need to put a breathalizer on the computer.
I suffer from the same affliction, I can't help hitting the monster & cbid after getting my drink on, even blogged about it last week! No frickin self control.
I think we all have this virus on our computer.

Prelight i was thinking Camacho and ill stay with my first impression and go with HONDURAN .
Nice Decent amount of blue smoke, Perfect draw with a slightly bitter taste at the end.
Bring on the loser Tag:smiley19:
This is becoming one hell of a pot!
Heyyoooooo! Time to test my luck and lack of skill!:smiley37:
Ill get my 3 picks together tonight + the naked stick and try to send them out by Friday.
Get ready for a large box Mizicke5273 :smiley4: ill use a medium flat rate box and insure it.
It most likely will not fit in a mail box so if you want it sent to your work or some where else let me know before Friday, If not ill send it to the address you gave me.
I'm felling left out here where my new Tag, :smiley44: do your worst.:smiley36:
I'm not a complete idiot, I'm still missing some parts.:smiley5:
Now i fire up a Camacho a real Honduran and cant believe I made that mistake.
The wrapper and construction remind me so much of one but the taste is a so different.
Never make up your mind what the cigar is before you smoke it:smiley9:
mrtr33 take your time and do up a good one.:smiley4:
