My most dissapointing smoke yet! A punch petit corona. The draw so tight I nearly sucked my eyballs out, despite a damn clean cut it was apprant the wrapper was thicker than an egg carton and it also started to unravel :( bugger. Then the smoke. Tastless, very mild with hints of nothing in particular. No head rush at the end, pretty even burn though.
So I went and had one of my bolivar petit coronas
I bought a fiver of Gurkha Expedition Torpedoes and tried the 2nd one this afternoon after having put them to bed for 4 months. Still pretty tasteless and harsh. :smiley21: I usually like Gurkhas, but this is a real stinker.

CAO Black on Saturday. Gifted to me in a golf tournament. Good smoke.
Last night-
Montecristo White Churchill while playing some poker. Decent smoke, lasted a long time but with the higher price tag probably won't get again.
JLP cremas on saturday- finally got to try one. Pretty damn good for the price.
Frank Correnti half corona yesterday- These are rolled in downtown Toronto with imported cuban tobacco aged minimum 5 years. Not a bad smoke at all, but it was just rolled so the wrapper was still a bit wet. I had no patience to wait to try one.
La Reserva by Tinder Box & Partagas Black Clasico. Both were good.

Celebrated Memorial Day with an Ashton VSG Illusion. WOW, what an amazing smoke.
last night had a Carlos Torano Tribute 2004, real nice smoke:smiley20:
Had a RyJ Viejo last night, and (with the exception of a few burn issues), I enjoyed the hell out of it. It was definitely the most flavorful and fuller-bodied RyJ that I have ever had.
K. hansotia & co. triple ligero. Very tasty!
Pelo de Oro for me earlier this evening. I was less than impressed. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid MSRP.

Yesterdays smoke saga...
Left late for work and found a box of RP juniors at the door so I smoked one on the way to work.
A couple of Monte Minis during the day:smiley20:.
Tried smoking a JLP Cremas on the way to a meeting after work but it was plugged:smiley40:. I re-cut it further down which seamed to create a one way valve allowing me to blow smoke through it, but trying to get any smoke to come out the end with my mouth attached was a futile exercise:smiley21:.
So I biffed it and lit up an Aspira Lonsdale which was great until I ashed it on the outside of the door and dropped it on the road:smiley42:.
So I gave up... for a while but had another RP junior on the way home the meeting:smiley41:. These have a very similar taste profile to the Famous Maduritos.
Had a 6-month aged Gran Habano Corojo #5 Churchill. It was great. Any burn problems that may have existed before were non-existent now with rest.
Helix X550 Natural---Not that great of a smoke compared to usual (maybe something to do with my crappy lighter, no matches around :smiley7:) The light smoke did go along with my vodka tonic very well though so I guess that made up for it.
Tue night CAO Criollo Mancha 5 5/8 x 46 with a pig tail
Had a burn problem I had to try and to correct a few times. But still one of my fav CAOs
Wed night Camacho Select Robusto 5 x 50 great smoke, everybody should try one

All this domestic vs isom is a bit silly really, domestics aren't usually domestic (for me, or anyone in the states either really) and technically I live on an island south of miami (way south of miami actually). It's called 'the north island'.
Definately the pick of the bunch was the H Upmann Coronas Major. Sweet and spicy... Mmmmmm...
Rocky Patel 92 6 x 60 Great smoke with a perfect draw and burn plus a good ash
Grand re-opening of a billiard's club downtown. They just installed a giant walk-in humidor of the likes I've never seen before. To celebrate, I had an A. Fuente Anejo Reserva #48. Usually, I don't get to smoke such premium cigars, but they were running a special on these things for $11.00 a pop. Needless to say...it was amazing.
...picked up 3 more for the humidor.

I'll probably be having a Gurkha Grand Master Dos Capas at an Ashton BBQ in Baltimore today.
5 Vegas Gold with breakfast this morning. Getting ready to go to the Astros game!!
spiffy
Don Kiki Brown Lable Figurado. Amazing smoke. It really hit me, unless my tolerance had gone to shit and that one bottle of Blue Moon was the reason for my buzziness. Didn't have the same effect with the Brown Label Toro. Good nonetheless.
La Gloria Cubana Classic Maduro Soberanos 8 x 52
Was given a box of these for Christmas, a good med smoke, but you need some time for this one
I had a Gurkha Grand Master Dos Capas today at an Ashton BBQ.

Stopped at the B&M on the way home from the Astros game (8-3 Houston baby!!) and had a Torano Exodus Silver Torpedo.
5 Vegas Gold Torpedo, started off with a tight draw but became very enjoyable towards the middle. Think I will let the others rest in my humi for a month or so.
Fresh rolled Don Pepin Garcia that i just watched his master roller make!
2 Don Pepin El Rey de los Habanos Cigars Torpedo 6 1/2 x 52
a 601 Nicaraguan Habanos Cigar Torpdedo 6 1/2 x 52
what can i say it was a good night
last night I had a Cohiba robusto, tonight I'm going with a Montecristo #4
Had a Double Scimitar Robusto this morning. Had been resting for almost a year now. Decent mild smoke with coffee in the morning. Enjoyed it.
AF Hemingway Classic
starting off very nice and mild, good flavor, but there isn't much smoke
Cuesta Rey Sungrown Centro Fino #60 6 x 50
A good fall back smoke, good flavor, smoke, and burn. Have never had a Cuesta Rey that I haven't enjoyed!
