What I do not get is that you are selling that other 3000 ct. humi because you needed a bigger one, yet this model in the picture (the Sentinel) has a capacity of only 1500 + ? Quite a contradiction if you ask me...

An enjoyable (dream-time) walk-in humidor construction project. Very nicely planned out.
Same site: I knew I had good taste in art
That's freakin awesome DW. What did you smoke to celebrate finishing?
Edit: Nevermind, that's not you! You now suck again...
Wasn't that fast?
Shit right now I'm still somewhere in between the pencil/paper phase and buying some lumber. You know I somehow get more ideas than I can get around to. I need to retire so that I can go to work. Seriously, I'm starting on the framing this weekend.
here is my 2 small humidors.

Does having different flavor cigars placed together in a smaller humidor change the flavor of other cigars in the same box? I just bought a small one today and i see it has a divider and i am sure it is not very effective in separating smells. How does putting a variety of cigars in the same box keep the taste and smell separated?
they will absorb a hint of the other flavors but its barley noticeable when your talking flavored/infused cigars.
i have noticed a slight spiced hint that comes from the ambrosia cigars transferring to the javas i had next to them but the java seams to not transfer to the ambrosia ones.
Segregate, segregate, segregate...if there are ANY cigars in your collection that are described as "infused" or "flavored," do NOT put them in the humidor with your other cigars. You will soon have a bunch of cigars that used to be good.
As far as seperating your flavored cigars, your guess is as good as mine.
this is the last humidor i got a 100 count.
i think its time i stopped buying cigars and started smoking the ones i have.

yep your right i need to do something i don't have a place to put any more humidors.
i use Tupperware for the overflow but right now they are empty. one big cooler may be the best thing to do.
cameras and me don't get along very well.
i keep buying them and they keep breaking so i was using my wifes that i dont know how properly use. :smiley19:

Woe is me......:smiley19:
Nice stash tjcravey :smiley20:
Talking about Blunts i was getting gas yesterday and almost picked up a Philly blunt sour apple.
:smiley11:
I'm a glutton for punishment so ill have to add it to my list of stupid thing to try when i get brave again.
That sponge looks tasty, try rolling it up in toilet paper and fire that bad boy up:smiley20:
looks like that sponge could use a little moisture
I'm sorry but that don't look like a good humidor to pick..
It would be next to imposable to keep a constant humidity with all the air gaps and holes in it.
I'm no expert at this humidor thing.
Look at that ..... 72 degrees and a whopping 58% RH.
Of course I have to ask in a style fitting for this occasion, so I'll quote Dr. Phil:
Lemme ask, how's that workin' out for ya?
Kris
Dangle i saw last post you made and see that you have a small humidor, why not fill that one before you invest in a large humidor.
The idea of a humidor is to keep the cigars at a stable RH like 68% or so and your not going to be able to do that with a humidor like you showed.
Do you guys not realize that when you open yourhumidor, the Rh reading on your hydro drops(or rises if your in a super humid climate)? It drops even more if you leave it open long enough to snap a few pictures. The best way to judge a humidor is; first, how stable it holds the desired Rh. Secondly, how quickly it stabilizes after a change in Rh. Such as opening it.
I can't read the numbers on the analog hydro on the front. But closed it looks to me, like it's in the high 60's. Counting back from the last numbered marker, which would be 100%. From that, I would assume that this humidor is just fine.
How do you think a Walk-in humidor would work? Which that GIANT gap you can stand in. Circulation of air in a humidor is good.Quote:

I made a assumption based on the digital and the appearance of the humidor.
I still don't think it is a good humidor to start out with, but then again i don't know how stable the humidity and temperature is in his home.
The owner that took the picture may live somewhere that it would be perfect, but would it work as well for some one let say that lived in Arizona or Alaska?
Air circulation is one thing leaving the door open 24/7 is a different matter.
If some one opened up your Humidor and left it open what would you do?
With large air gaps i just don't see how it will be possible to stabilize the RH.
I think that front door prolly seals around the face of the humi. What you think are "gaps" are just the spaces between the trays on the inside.
Will
Holy crap how did i miss that. i didn't see the glass door at all.
crap I'm blind.
Talk about feeling stupid
Dangle I'm sorry.
For some stupid ass reason i didn't see that it had a glass door.
Ignore everything i typed, I'm totally in the wrong.:smiley6:
I sent you a PM Dangle
Wow!
So many beautiful humidors and mouth-watering cigars!
