Vegas Cubanas and Troya Clasico Robusto
Hey Rball, give the Oliva V a shot. Might be a bit stronger than the G.
I had a serie V and SP Dbl Mad while camping this past weekend. Both excellent cigars introduced to me by the board here.... made me think of you guys while sitting around the campfire :smiley37:
Enjoyed a La Aurora 1495 Churchill watching the sun go down last night. Great end to a great weekend.
Ashton + Don Pepin Garcia = Bliss
San Cristobal Monumento
Cusano 18 Double Connecticut - Robusto
I read a lot of bad reviews about this cigar (after I smoked it), but I liked it... it was the first cigar that I thought was 'creamy' - at the start anyway (changed a lot as I smoked it).
Coronado by La Flor Double Toro...................wow, it's been awhile since I needed to take a break from a cigar.
DPG JJ Maduro Belicoso
Smoked a “Matasa Fonseca 30th Anniversary” today…AWFUL!!! YUCK!!! First quarter was ok and then :smiley11:.
Maybe the last one of these I smoke for a while.
Wow, shows how taste differs!
I love the Matasa 30th
I had a Padilla 1932 corona, and a Habanos Puros Fuerte #4 :smiley41:
illusione f9
had almost a "dirty" taste to it
Nub Conneticut
Don Lino Afrique Churchill....I think that's the size. It was a fairly disappointing smoke.
Cabaiguan Toro size
Torano Exodus 1959 Torpedo
Camacho Limited Harvest Toro
Slight burn issue but i still smoked it to the last inch ; really medium strength compared to most camachos
I just smoked the third out of a 5-pack of Camacho Select Lonsdales, and it's strike three for me. Too bitter and one dimensional for my palate. If anyone likes them and wants the last two, I'll be glad to send them your way. I'm not going to keep smoking them. I'm gradually becoming a two brand man. It's primarily Gurkha Legend and Gran Habano 3 Siglos for me, with an occasional Oliva Serie V, San Cristobal Monumento, Joya De Nicaragua Antano Machito, Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic, Felipe Power, RP Edge, and RP Decade to shake up the routine a bit now and again.
Oliva Angel 100 - Corona Gorda
Cusano Celebrity Series P1 - Cafe Robusto
An AVO XO Notturno (didn't really enjoy this one, may have to try something a little larger next time)
A CAO Italia Ciao at the bar (decent smoke, took a bit to get going though, probably because it was humid out, but once it got going it was pretty good)
An 898 collection Robusto (one of my goto smokes)
Had the same disappointed reaction to an AVO XO Intermezzo recently. Used to be a favorite.
601 Red Label Robusto
DPG Serie JJ Belicoso
Oliva Serie V Belicoso
and a Gurkha...........red label.....toro sized
Coronado by LFD (corona especial)
Aurora 100 Anos Robusto
Oliva Master Blends 2 Robusto
Padron 3000 Maduro
Gurkha Napalease Warrior
Anejo 46:smiley4: twas nubbed good!
Padilla Obsidian - great smoke, but horribly uneven burn
JLP - 2nd one in a row that was plugged. Had to throw the first one away.
601 Maduro - was amazing. I had just finished a huge steak which made it that much better. I might try eating steaks before every cigar, see if it makes em better.
Oliva MB1
San Cristobal Robusto
Oliva V Serie Churchill Extra
Graycliff Double Espresso
I was underwhelmed by the first two of these I smoked, but this one made me grab a toothpick:smiley5:, and I'm smoking it down to the last 32nd of an inch. Defuckinglicious.
Tatuaje VI Almirantes..........:smiley20:
Aside from the Tatuaje earlier,
Nub Habano Topedo..............wow, this things got some zing.
Aurora 1495 Robusto......great smoke.
Edge Lite while sipping Paklum Tips Silver Needles White tea.
A marriage made in heaven.:smiley33:
I prefer :smiley15: now.
Have all but lost my enjoyment for milder smokes.:smiley40:
Saturday:
Review Sick #1
Review Stick #2 both from Corvin
Sunday:
Bolivar Tubo gifted to me by ashauler
Gurkha Black Puro
Mid-afternoon:
Legend Series Yellow Label - Don Pepin
Significant wrapper and burn problems. I've tried to convince myself I like these. Good price. Rave reviews.
They're an average stick that doesn't hold a candle to what Pepin can do.
I'd rather smoke fewer cigars than buy these for a price break.
Thanks, that's good to know, and not surprising. I have smoked the Orange Label and found it enjoyable, but it has been a while. I have one remaining, so will smoke it this week. As for tonight, I'm going to ensure success and cap off the weekend with a Gurkha Legend Aniversario Perfecto.
smoked a 5 Vegas A tonight. It was my first Maduro smoke. I really liked it. definitely something i'm gonna smoke again.
Well, the Legend Aniversario Perfecto hit the spot, but the Gurkha Legend Torpedo remains my favorite.
Gurkha Black Puro
last night: Rocky Patel American Market Selection
Gurkha Grand Age
sammis
Hoyo de Tradicion epicure after lunch. Fuller bodied than I had expected.
