I had a serie V and SP Dbl Mad while camping this past weekend. Both excellent cigars introduced to me by the board here.... made me think of you guys while sitting around the campfire :smiley37:

Enjoyed a La Aurora 1495 Churchill watching the sun go down last night. Great end to a great weekend.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this cigar (after I smoked it), but I liked it... it was the first cigar that I thought was 'creamy' - at the start anyway (changed a lot as I smoked it).

Coronado by La Flor Double Toro...................wow, it's been awhile since I needed to take a break from a cigar.

DPG JJ Maduro Belicoso

Smoked a “Matasa Fonseca 30th Anniversary” today…AWFUL!!! YUCK!!! First quarter was ok and then :smiley11:.

Maybe the last one of these I smoke for a while.

Slight burn issue but i still smoked it to the last inch ; really medium strength compared to most camachos

I just smoked the third out of a 5-pack of Camacho Select Lonsdales, and it's strike three for me. Too bitter and one dimensional for my palate. If anyone likes them and wants the last two, I'll be glad to send them your way. I'm not going to keep smoking them. I'm gradually becoming a two brand man. It's primarily Gurkha Legend and Gran Habano 3 Siglos for me, with an occasional Oliva Serie V, San Cristobal Monumento, Joya De Nicaragua Antano Machito, Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic, Felipe Power, RP Edge, and RP Decade to shake up the routine a bit now and again.

An AVO XO Notturno (didn't really enjoy this one, may have to try something a little larger next time)

Had the same disappointed reaction to an AVO XO Intermezzo recently. Used to be a favorite.

JLP - 2nd one in a row that was plugged. Had to throw the first one away.
601 Maduro - was amazing. I had just finished a huge steak which made it that much better. I might try eating steaks before every cigar, see if it makes em better.

Legend Series Yellow Label - Don Pepin

Significant wrapper and burn problems. I've tried to convince myself I like these. Good price. Rave reviews.

They're an average stick that doesn't hold a candle to what Pepin can do.

I'd rather smoke fewer cigars than buy these for a price break.

I think a lot of people have the same feelings on the Yellow Label, I know I do. Don't give up on the Legends Series, though. Try the Orange Label by Rocky Patel. One of my favorites.

Thanks, that's good to know, and not surprising. I have smoked the Orange Label and found it enjoyable, but it has been a while. I have one remaining, so will smoke it this week. As for tonight, I'm going to ensure success and cap off the weekend with a Gurkha Legend Aniversario Perfecto.

smoked a 5 Vegas A tonight. It was my first Maduro smoke. I really liked it. definitely something i'm gonna smoke again.

Well, the Legend Aniversario Perfecto hit the spot, but the Gurkha Legend Torpedo remains my favorite.
