Had a good day today.
CAO Italia...it was decent but not something I'd buy a lot of.
Roly #2 maduro(6.5x46). I dont know if it was just the two that my uncle and I lit up, but his unrolled after he punch cut it. and my wrapper started to unroll from the foot after I smoke about a half inch of it. Other then that, flavor was completely absent from this stick. Since it unrolled anyway, It got tossed. Luckily my uncle lives close to my regular tobacco shop, so I took a quick ride and picked up some Ashton Cabinet double corona's(7x49). Those were delicious. Smooth draw with a medium flavorful smoke.

had a R&J short churchill, really enjoyed the flavor. nice and smooth, but with woody or earthy notes (to me anyway:smiley9:) got a real nice amount of smoke from each toke too- nice and easily. big plus for me :smiley14:
anyone know if there are any difference other than size to the regular Churchill?
Over the weekend,

La Aurora 2nd Robusto
La Gloria Charlemagne
Another Chateau Fuente......these smokes are great.
Hola Soli.
Yes, there are some differences.
The Julieta nº2 (Churchill vitola) has diferences in Ligero, Seco and Volado tobacco leaf proportions. It is a cigar to be aged before smoking, IMO a richer and complex smoke at 5 - 6 years.
The Robusto (Short Churchill vitola) seems designed to be smoked with very few years of age. A good quality cigar even young.
This afternoon I'm smoking a Partagás Shorts with an Expresso coffee.
Regards.
Ricardo.

hmm, buying, storing, ageing, smoking- a slippery slope indeed! :smiley40:

Hola Soli.
Good morning all.
The two RyJ we talked in the posts above are both Premium cigars.
Part of this amazing hobby is the magic of Premium cigars: how age acts on them, opening qualities and properties, hidden when young. Then, buying, storing, ageing, smoking is part of the game :smiley1:
Enjoy smoking.
Regards.
Ricardo (a Gloria Cubana Medaille D'or nº4 is ready for after lunch cafe).
Just got in Zino Crown L.E. 2008.
Smoked the Barrel........INCREDIBLE cigar.
I enjoyed this L.E. over 2007, by far. Richer flavor profile.

Again today. honestly, I'm very unimpressed with their idea of a flavored cigar. It seems to me like the "special infusion process" is really just fancy talk for "dipping the head in chocolate flavoring."
That being said, if they were to make an excellent cigar sans the flavoring and then flavor the tip to about a quarter the strength that they are currently using, it could be very enjoyable.

Hola.
Good Morning all.
Yesterday night, following a nice dinner, I smoked one of the best cigars I've ever smoked:
Partagás Serie du Connaisseur Nº1 (Delicados vitola).
From a box dated on 2001, this slim and long cigar was superb complex and fine smoke on the medium to strong strength side.
Regards.
Ricardo.
